It appears that one mistake was made by me when thinking the rules. It is unfair, for the Sacred Order, to be incapacitated to win due to other people forfeiting their matches. Especially so when they were thought as a "high risk, high reward" team. So, I'm changing the rules to reflect this: if a match doesn't happen for whatever reason (both walkover wins and forfeit), any Sacred Order member who Corrupted that match gains half of the normal upgrades as a "payback". That allows a Sacred Order member to win even though the people he corrupts are forfeiting their matches. But at the same time it allows for a strategic "slowing down" of the potential winners for other players.
