This week's goal was to Design a card that uses a new status effect! Let's see how our entrants have managed!

As a reminder: Vote in any way you deem fit, as long as you can justify it. You are encouraged to discuss the cards on this thread.
If you want to vote based on the best status effect, ignoring the card, then that's fine.
If you want to ignore the design limitations entirely, and just vote on the best card, that's also fine.
If you want to vote on yourself, you're a scumbag, but that's fine. (It's probably recommended you do. We can't stop you.)

This card thematically fits with Gravity, because as gravity intensifies, all creatures who are affected will feel slower and heavier. Since all shields have a small one-word text under their slots in-game, i chose 'deceleration', because the effect is the opposite of Acceleration's.

The in-element Gravity Shield grants a possible synergy with the card, though this synergy would be the first which incorporates 2 different shields. The card also works as a standalone card in any gravity deck; damage reduction alone is something that gravity didn't have so far, but with deceleration, it slowly adds up.

So basically it is a simple shield with the added ability to temporarily become a creature, for those cases when you need just a bit more damage.

When flown, it becomes a creature, in that time it does not negate any damage. On your next turn it returns to the shield slot (replacing any shield occupying the slot). On the turn after that you can throw it again.

If it was delayed in that time it will remain a creature for the duration of the delay.

Each week, the Curators will host a card design challenge with a certain theme or gimmick; for the rest of the week, your goal is to design the best card you can that works with the challenge! Once that week is up, a new weekly challenge will start and the current challenge will go into the Voting Phase! The winners of each poll will be awarded points; your current score can be found on the Monthly Leaderboard!

Can other, inactive users' ideas be posted here? I think Repulsor and Debris Barricade - cards that both made it into oEtG - are good ideas and should be given a chance too.

The point of these is for people to make cards.
It would go against the point if people could do a search of cards for a really good card that matches the design conditions and then just paste it here.

Old cards like repulsor and debris barricade can be resubmitted for the crucible.

This card is designed to be a shield that feels very much like the element :life - it tries to win by outlasting the foe via sheer volume of living things!  Bonus synergy with adrenaline is another thing that makes this card strong.  Life already has healing from Staves/SoG/Heal, but sometimes fails to have enough room to use its massive sustain.
