What the clues meant:

• First clue: It's a single-target spell, and someone can either mean 'an enemy unit' or 'the enemy elemental'.
• Second clue: The spell is in Death element (Mortis is the (nearly-)mono-Death HB.)
• Third clue: Fire (Pyrofuze is the (nearly-)mono-Fire HB) has its own version actually implemented in the game, in the form of Fire Bolt.

Z's might sound more cool, but he's missing the third clue (that Fire has its own version actually implemented in EtG).
Fro's might've been rubbing the third clue in the wrong way (he moves to Rage Potion instead of Fire Bolt), but he's the closest to what I have.
Trel's ... I dunno, I don't remember a Fire creature getting stalled by its own actions.

So, while I can't decide who's second, Fro's definitely the winner for my bout.
