CURATOR COMMENT
Due to Mysterious Magic, the Curators didn't update the challenges on Monday. As a result, this challenge is 24 hours late.
I'm going to give you all an extra day to submit, and the next challenge'll start approximately on the midnight of sunday-monday GMT, as per usual.
Also, yes, the Halloween special was its own thing, to my knowledge, reading these notes correctly. I'm sure Zephyr/AD'll correct me if I'm wrong.
-EspithelJust remember, kids! Every spell that deals major damage to many a thing is terrible!Welcome to the Weekly Card Design Challenge! Each week, the Curators will host a card design challenge with a certain theme or gimmick; for the rest of the week, your goal is to design the best card you can that works with the challenge! Once that week is up, a new weekly challenge will start and the current challenge will go into the Voting Phase! The winners of each poll will be awarded points; your current score can be found on the

This week's challenge is to Make creature control that affects multiple creatures!Spoiler for Specific Rules:
Creature Control is used to hinder a creature. Think of freeze, lightning, reverse time, and mutate.
Mass CC is such a card which does it to multiple creatures - think of pandemonium, thunderstorm, etc.
Shields, such as dims, or similar permanents, such as sundial, generally don't count as CC, yet alone mass CC. Keep that in mind.
The card has to affect two or more creatures in a negative way.
What counts as negative is up for discussion.
The card can be a spell, creature, or permanent.
Don't put art in your card. Don't submit more than one card. Submit the upgraded and unupgraded.
Submit your ideas in this thread - whether you make a separate thread for your card idea for Cygnia is up to you.
We are in the Voting Phase! There are
Temporal Disasters. Good luck!

This creature's ability activates each time a weapon on the same side strikes a target (attacks and does not miss) or has its ability activated by its owner (e.g. owl's eye, pulverizer, etc).
Flown weapons and equipped weapons may trigger this effect. Endowed crusaders do not.
Each creature with "on owner weapon strike" will activate at the same time.
The ability always does a total of 4 damage. Each point of damage is assigned to a randomly chosen target on the opposing side. This may include the opposing player.
The effect is considered "spell damage" so reflective shields can counter it.

| TEXT: | Pay twice as much HP for cards instead of quanta. 15 : Pay debt
|
|
ART: |
| IDEA: | Clean0nion
| NOTES: | This one's not as complicated as it sounds.
When you play a card, you pay quanta from your pools. With Loan Shark, however, this isn't so.
Instead of paying the cost of a card in quanta, you pay twice that amount from the HP of your creatures, divided as equally as possible amongst them.
For example, say you wish to play a Lava Golem (5 ). But you only have 2 . Get a Loan Shark! What an intelligent solution! Now, you can pay the cost of the LG by paying 10HP across all of your other creatures. You have five Phoenixes and an Ash. So, take 1HP from all of them, for equality. Now you have six Ash, one of which has 4HP. You still need to pay 4HP, so take 1HP from four of them, randomly picked. Then you can place your Lava Golem! There, wasn't that easy?
If you can't pay the cost (no creatures), Loan Shark takes any remaining quanta and goes away (and cancels whatever card you were trying to play, ie you lose that card).
You can pay off your debt to Loan Shark, but it costs a lot of . The upgraded version is easier to get, but costs more to pay off. Paying the debt removes Loan Shark from the field.
Debating whether or not to make this immaterial
