I got the impression that Drake will pick the winners regardless of what the poll says.

I voted for what I thought were the best cards. I just was honest with myself and voted for the cards which I thought best fit theme and had mechanics that would fit into the game. If I voted only for my cards, then I'd be kind of denying that other people had good ideas.

At least that's how I thought about it.

I am a little surprised that my Chrono Assassin is doing ok considering that the nature of a assassin is neutral and the mechanic isn't particularly "villainous" but then, what does a villainous mechanic look like?

I'd think a heroic one would defend others or do something "good" like heal and/or protect.

I'm confused about these polls.
Are we allowed to vote on our own submissions? If yes, people will vote own ideas, if not, there is still room for voting on ourselves because the poll system makes it possible. So I recommend enabling voting on multiple options, but maximum 2 for example.
Apart from that, will the poll's result change the outcome, or is it just a secondary winning option?

Drake had suggested putting a poll up, and I forgot the reasoning, but it did work. It doesn't really have any effect; it's just to see what the competitors think of the competition, since Drake picking the winner is separate. And we'll just have to go by the honor system for people voting. Feel free to assume the worst, as you stated.

Ah, ok. I made my votes. The main factor while voting was to vote on abilities that were unique in some way.

Also, wat? Two heros are nearly the same and one got 3 votes and the other got none? o.O What is this madness?

Unless I misread/misunderstood something, isn't the voting portion supposed to aim towards the whole community, giving everyone a chance to look and vote? if so I see nothing wrong with giving it a full week. if not, then it doesn't bother me if it is shortened as I've already made my vote.

It does have an effect on the larger scale. If Drake posts the winner before voting finishes, that might influence the rest of the votes. So it's better if he posts it right when the voting ends. But then we have to wait longer for the next challenge if the voting is longer. I won't shorten it that much.
