Looks like you guys favor using his phoenixes against him, which is pretty cool.  May have to try that!  Here's my idea.

Code: [Select]
6rn 6rn 6rn 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77b 77b 77b 77c 77c 77c 77i 77i 77i 77i 77i 7gk 7gk 7go 7go 7go 7gs 7gs 7gs 7h1 7h1
PA'd Diamond Shield out ASAP, then a Shard or two and Poseidon to kill his Fire Lance potential.  It should be possible to run this with only the Stone Towers, Shields, and Shards upped.  Would really appreciate testing/tweaking help.

EDIT: Trimmed the fat.  33 cards down from 40.

I came up with the idea for Condor + Lightning Storm to use against Eternal Phoenix when I was bored and the Oracle told me to fight Eternal Phoenix. I won in about 6-7 turns, lol...

Your deck would probably work well too. It's nice to stall out a deck with Fire Lances in it ;)

So far in about three tests I haven't won once.  It's really dependent on getting those Protect Artifacts for your towers and a Diamond Shield early.  If you don't get that, you are TOAST.

OK, holy crap.  That Condor deck is incredible, I am building it when I get the quanta!  Mid-quality draw and it was an easy kill.  It's also funny to watch how long the game has to pause to calculate twelve phoenix deaths, and as many ash/skeleton creations and condor boosts.  :D

Here's what I'd run unupped and rare-less.  Took out a vulture to make room for 13 pillars.

Code: [Select]
52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52k 52k 52k 52k 52k 52n 52n 52r 52r 52r 52r 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh
Tested this deck unupped and won 2, lost 1.  Might be worth it to drop one more vulture for a pillar... damage was never a problem, initial quanta generation sometimes was due to explosion.

I prefer this variant. Plaguing ashes so they only last one turn and your bonewalls grow grow grow. (Oh, nom nom nom)

Can't help but wonder if this concept could be run as mono with Plagues instead, even though they're slower, it would only matter on the first shot, and you'd have more reliable quanta with Death mark.  For me, the only thing threatening death was not how quickly I could crank out lightning, but how quickly I could build up the quanta to get a bone wall out.

You could calculate a turn ahead and plague the enemy field one turn before you'll be able to play the first bone wall.  Then plague again the turn after bone wall, to tag the ashes and any new phoenixes.  Plague also has the slight advantage of not having to be cast twice to kill the dragons.

you dont need to kill the dragon if you got bonewall in place
going mono is doable, but lower the win % by a friggin lot
i've faced oracle thrice with jmizzle's death/wind and i'm at 2-1
my lost came from treating my bonewall as if its the precious thing, it was my first time with the deck
the thing is, thunderstorm let you combo with vulture/condor and graveyard right away and that can be the difference between winning or losing
plague takes 1 whole turn to kill phoenix and even then, youre using precious :death quantas (in early game)
you cant cast condor and expect it wont get bolted to death while waiting for it to grow when EP end its turn
original decklist is good enough to go against EP and i dare say the best anti-EP deck that works well unupped

As stated before, Plague isn't a very good card in this particular matchup. You want to let yourself survive until you can play at least two Condors and a wall in one turn before you cast Lightning Storm. Boneyards aren't necessary at all, but they do make for much faster matches in case EP has a Firestorm in hand. It really is a pure counter for this false god. I haven't lost once.

Play bone wall
Play condor
Play Thunderstorm
Play plagues

When the ashes rebirth, you get another bonewall turn + condor improvement.

This really beats the cr*p out of EP. I will always play this when I get an Oracle reading with EP as the next FG. Its almost like cheating!  :D
