You can beat it with a Hope/ROL deck. He only has 2 firestorms and you only need to leave 4 ROL out with your hope shield most of the time. Depends on how fast/many crimson dragons he gets out.

Fractal ROL but only keep 4-5 out as long as you can. If he firestorms, put the rest of the ROL out.

Put out your dragon when you can, I don't think he has a shield and he usually fireballs your health, not the dragon.

Pwned.

Elem Mastery without miracle.  I didn't even have to set up my normal win condition.  I just sundialed until he had a full screen of phoenix, droped bonewall and boneyard, then firestorm, he re-upped the phoenix, I firestorm again.  17 cards left in the deck, one mutant,  Skeletons beat him sensless.  He Firestormed them, but the damage had already been done.  Bonewall/Boneyard/Firestormx2 for the win.

By far the fastest false god victory I have ever gotten.
he prob got a bad hand... cause he shoulda deflagged some sundials

he deflagged some, I didn't spend the whole match at 100 life, he got me down pretty low early on.  I think I had about 20 or so health when I dropped bonewall/boneyard/firestorm/feral bond

I dont see this guy as hard as you do, I think he has a medium difficulty and is fun to boot with the randomness of playing ability. Either you die in 4-6 turns as he gets his cards and towers and fractals in the right order or his damage is very slow in it buildup, playing fractals with full hand and stuff. As of now I'm 8 losses and 5 win against Eternal Pheonix.

And I'm not so sure that he has 8 explodes i usually see 1-3 in the first turns and then 1-3 more as the game progresses he explodes less stuff than Rainbow and Hermes. He feels like an Octane that gets to use all his explodes. I think he only have 6 explodes.

Explodes is the worst possible card for me to face imo and I curse all the other gods because they have such high dmg buildup but that problem is ain't around with this guy, to me it seems like this: If he gets explodes his dangerous cards are far away in his deck and you have a long window to setup.

He cant deal with shields, just sac a tower or two to explodes and a dial or two and a sog and you're fine, no need to fear for the destruction of the rest of the perms.

I usually prot permafrost or eternity against him, never needed to use rewind to save myself i use it to fudge up his quanta gain/card draw by constantly rewinding his pheonixes or sitting with sogs behind permafrost is as close to getting OP as it gets we all know that.

Right now I'm 1-1 with eternal phoenix, but Oracle just told me I'm going to face him next, so I wonder what would be the best counter-deck...
I guess I'll go with mono-earth diamond shield+PA+shriekers+basilisk blood to take care of crimsons... any other ideas?
Probably :aether :earth with protected phase shields could also work, but I never used such a deck.

By the way, my victory against him might have been quite lucky, but see for yourselves:

There is one card that is basically a savior against this false god...

FIRE BUCKLER...

phoenixes die after one attack, and even if the god revives them, they die anyway. It's like an advanced version of turtle shield for phoenixes.

ruby dragons also die after two attacks, so it's much better than other random shields.

i think putting in fire buckler in a rainbow deck with lots of heals could lead to a win.

but most gods would just ignore or destroy that shield and destroy you, but if you knew you were facing him it would be nice.

just played EP, and got whooped in 5 turns.

Went something like this:

Turn 1 me: Q Pillar x3.
Turn 1 EP: B Tower x3, Play Minor Phoenix.

Turn 2 me: Q Pillar, Sundial.
Turn 2 EP: B Tower, Explosion targeting Sundial.

Turn 3 me: Q Pillar, Sundial.
Turn 3 EP: B Tower x2, Explosion targeting Sundial, Ruby Dragon.

Turn 4 me: Oty, Hourglass.
Turn 4 EP: B Tower, Ruby Dragon.

Turn 5 me: Hide in corner and cry.
Turn 5 EP: Minor Phoenix and swing ftw.

this has been the quickest loss I've come across yet facing a FG.  Just insane.  But i like the deck :D

I have enough money for 15 any upped cards I need for the deck, but don't have. My game isn't saving so I don't really care, (It is guaranteed not to save.)

Beat this FG several times with the basic upped timebow (some tweaks). Just need to hang on until you get the bonewall+firestorm (2 firestorms is nice, after he raises them again, boom, massive bonewall) combo with a quinted otyough/feral bond/boneyard. Sundials and phaseshields helps alot, miracle can save you once in a while, sometimes you can steal his pillars early and rewind his dragons, that slows him down. It's depends alot on luck, getting the right cards.
