I like 10men's deck idea:

Code: [Select]
4vh 4vh 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vl 4vl 4vl 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 5ul 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5up 5up 61q
Although I'd probably add another Dusk Mantle.

To get that deck we should change salvage -1 Lightning -2 Dark Pendulums +3 Black Dragons ... but then we have fewer quanta sources, of course. I think it might balance merely because we will be enabling ourselves to use Devourers which themselves are quanta sources ...

On vagman's deck versus Darkness. Currently he wants this:

Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vl 4vl 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 61q 61q 61q 61q 621 621 621 621
I have some serious problems with this deck choice. We beat Darkness last round cleanly with Scrambled Shriekers, largely because the Earthquakes from those decks denied them. They are aware of that, so I think it's pretty likely they would play something that resists EQ, like Devourers or mono-Darkness or maybe Dark-Earth duo with Enchant Artifact (although that is unlikely). The most probable thing for them to do is play Devourers ... and yet vagman's deck has basically no chance against Devourers.

We should not be playing a slow, expensive deck against them which has half of our Purple Dragons that we would lose if we lose this match, leaving 6 in our vault (and it's impossible that we would ever salvage more). Also if we lose, we would lose FOURTEEN, = 14, quanta sources.

We should be playing a diverse deck with different cards that minimizes the damage if we lose ... like SS again with fewer Earthquakes and more CC, something designed to counter Devourers. Or even a deck like 10men's above -- Darkness vs. Darkness could actually be quite effective I think.

To solve all of the issues that have appeared,I am thinking about using's darkness deck you posted 1 post earlier vali.I am testing it right now , But i am noting this in case time is running out and you have to put decks in the thread.

PS: It is quite effective vs darkness so far in testing

It seems like most of my suggestions were accepted. Thank you team for having faith in me. Today in the USA we have Thanksgiving, the day of giving thanks.

I am thankful for a very strong team in Elements War with very good deckbuilders. I have learned a lot from all of you.

I think we are going to do extremely well this round! Let's go for 9-0! Good luck everybody. :)

Sorry, I didn't participate in the deck building. It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that I don't have an idea right off my head and I am way too busy this week to sit down and test decks for a couple of hours. Finally, it's Friday, I read Zeru's PM and I totally agree. The impression we leave for the other teams this round makes all the difference in the war.

Edit: After brief testing, I find that my deck barely works. It has very expensive cards and very few pillar. This deck cannot run properly without a lot of pillar/pend in the open hand. I know we have a vault emergency, so I suggest reducing the amount of cards. Something like this:
Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vl 4vl 4vl 4vm 4vm 4vm 500 500 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 5c2 5c4 5c4 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7
It takes way too long to get out nymphs, so they are dead cards until late game. This makes the deck run quite a bit smoother I think.

Edit: Forget about the above, time already ran out. I thought there was one more day. This week drove me idiotic.

You'll be fine against Water unless they happen to use a counter (like Tridents). Just be perceptive and by the second game you'll know which creatures to put out first, based on which CC is the most useful.

technically I think we can still edit Sno's (since he hasn't battled yet) and jsut take a 6 card penalty which would be better than losing 30 cards.

Yeah just replace a card with a pendulum. I'd say purify.

Unfortunately I was at Thanksgiving and did not final-check the decks for legality at the last minute like I usually do. I apologize to the team for that stupidity.

SnoWeb please note the change in your deck, there is a Pendulum in place of a Purify making your deck legal.
