Just wanting to clear up, when it uses Dead or Alive, does it reset to original status? Or does it keep buffs and things like poison?

Nothing happens to the cat at all.  It just triggers effects as though something died, but the cat is just sitting there.  TTBOMU, of course.

As it has been said, I'm actually much more exited about the fact that Zanz has come back than this card actually existing (It's a very neat concept and a good card, though I have to agree with Malduk that it's too much setup required for a mediocre effect).

One would hope, though, that this does mean that the arrival of new death-effect cards is imminent. And, if for some reason the card does actually die and is reborn (Could see how the coding would be easier: Have it die like Virus already does, and then have the effect summon a new one, like a Firefly) then we could well see that ability placed on a spell card (Or a creature with it) for targeting use, which could be used to remove buffs/debuffs. Would be nice.

I almost assumed lowered ability cost to 1 , because that would let it be powered by mark alone. Then again, you can run 6, in which case you need more anyway, so I guess either would work. All death with two-three of these and Entropy mark would be really neat, though. x)

3 HP is better than a lower ability cost, in my opinion.  Makes it immune to unupgraded Otyughs, which is always dandy.

No way. Most decks don't have Oty's, whereas a lowered cost would -always- help. It'd, however, be a bit too easy with 1 . It's very powerful with Bone Wall and Soul Catcher as it is. Death is now amazing at domination-decks. :>

The Otyugh thing was a joke, or a bad one at least.  But yes, a lower cost would not be as balanced as 3 HP.
