Pretty limited in reasons but when you've upped everything else you might as well, it protects it from one thunderstorm afterwards.

the nymph is already overpowered if it's protected properly. antimatter spell costs 8 quanta upped u noe... and upgrades don't always have to be that significant. for example, if u upgrade eternity, all it does is reduce the costs by like 1 quantum.

You mean Antimatter costs 6 upgraded. It's not overpowering because it takes vast amount of quanta and/or cards to protect it and supply the ability and casting cost. 9 plus an additional 4 the next turn. Have  Quanta to spare? Use a Quintessence; Two card combo plus two different quanta. Can't pay for the ability? Three card combo with Quintessence, Shard of Readiness, and the Nymph itself.

That said, there's no giant difference between upgraded and not upgraded.. only if the opponent has a Fire Buckler or Spine Carapace, pretty much. I think it's okay like that, as Antimatter is very powerful. It's still somewhat sad how the upgraded version only adds one measly HP, though.

Hmm antimatting the Nymph make her insensitive to shield effects, so if there is fire shield (or any poisonus shield), the problem is to antimatte her before she hits the dangerous shield. Sure we can directly antimatte her with an Antimatter card (or with an other nymph..), but if not :
We can stuck her. /Gravity,
We can boost defense (like plate armor, blessing, etc), but don't work if poisonous shield. /Light, Earth,
We can destroy the shield. (haha) /Fire
We can steal the shield. /Darkness

With the upgrade, it's not "survive one turn", it's more like a "survive definitively" ... why ? for 4 the nymph anitmatte herselve, and then don't touch the fire buckler anymore, same as poisonous shield of life element, same for the frost shield ...

But, with the unupgraded one ... saving her from that kind of shileds cost 8 if we use an antimatter ... or 1 if we have an upped chaos power and then antimatte the next turn.

Ok we heal 3hp the opponent, but it's a good trade, isn't ?

And sure, the quintessence is good with all nymphs.
