Dissipation field is the most important card of a popular demi-gods (chriskang challenge) killer... quantum towers, dissipation field, PA and eternity... I wonder how that works for farming... it's a terribly slow decks, true, but maybe tweaked with some deadly poisons...

Play this early (especially the upgraded form) and you die out of quantum starvation.
I rarely bother destructing this on an opponent (like the FG with 200 HP). Keeping up the quantum drain is better.

It depends when chaos lord has about 150 quanta of each element and plays this... well, you can just quit if you don't have a LOT of heavy hitters and an eternity/ something to destroy it...

NOTE: This permanent gets automatically destroyed when all the quanta goes down to 0.

So far i always killed chaos lord when he played this card, he tends to play this card as soon as he draws it.

When he plays early, it's easy. When he draws it late... it's a pain.

Thing I've noticed with chaos lord is that the shield never makes the difference between winning and losing for him; if I can get control of the field then it drops quickly, and if I can't then he kills me before I would have even dented 200 hit points.

Sometimes it CAN make a difference, when you are getting a nice 4-5 attackers and you could halve his HP before he mutates them if he didn't have that darn shield..

Hi,
I recently upgraded Dissapation Shield to Dissapation Field, and was quite dissapointed, that it behaves worse than the original card because the ratio changed from 1 Quanta per 3 Dmg. to 1 Quanta per 1 Dmg. .
I got no chance to test it, but hope I'm right, that the improved card can use any Quanta to absorb Damage. But this makes only sense if you are using generic Quantum Pillars, rather than specialized pillars. (Or some other effective quantum generation method like Devourors).
Am I right?
In that case, this should be stated somewhere in the Wiki. To me this card is now almost useless, since I'm trying to play a pure Entropy deck. (Just for fun, not effectiveness.)

you're right...dissipation field useful only in a quantum tower deck..

This was my favourite card way, way back before gods or upgrades. It was like the improved version here, and I like using them in my shield heavy 60 card rainbow stall deck. I have phase shields and sundials for early on, a couple bonewalls for midgame and 2 dissipation fields for the win.

Some people may not know this, but with dissipation field (and maybe shield too), if you deal exactly the damage needed to bring the entropy quanta to 0 (I've never seen any other element being the last quanta drained, but if that's just because more entropy quanta was being produced, then it's whenever all quanta reaches 0), the shield stays. As soon as you deal 1 more point of damage, the shield is destroyed.
