Theory crafting a bit here.  Figured I'd share my work.

Both improved and unupped, discord scrambles 9 quanta.

It rolls 1-12 to see which pile of quanta to take it from.  This means if you have 99 entropy quanta, and 1 gravity quantum, there is a 50% chance the first quantum it grabs will be gravity.

It CAN move a quantum back to the element it came from.  This causes it to appear to move less than 9 some times.   I am unsure if it grabs all of the quanta simultaneously, or grabs one, drops it, and then grabs the next one.  The ability for it to grab the same quantum twice would make it less than effective.

That also means, in terms of value, you'd need to use the following formula.

It grabbed a quanta type they need * It dumped that quanta in a type they don't need

(The total number of quanta types they use)/(the number of quanta types they have at least one of)*(the number of quanta types they don't use)/12
(The total number of quanta types they use)(the number of quanta types they don't use)/12(The number of quanta types they have at least one of)

So, theoretically, if you're fighting a mono fire deck with 9 fire quanta, you get 1*11/1*12, or an 11/12 chance you'll deny them the quanta.  The 12th option is it goes from fire back into fire.

If you're fighting a duo deck with 4 gravity and 5 earth quanta, you get 2*10/2*12, or 20/24.  Two of the 4 failed cases are if it returns the quanta where it came from, and two of the cases are if it pitches the quanta from one type they need to another.

1*11/2*12, or 11/24 chance of wreaking havoc.  12 of the 24 failed cases are if it grabs the life quanta again and moves it, and the 13th case is a fire->fire move.

It grabs all 9 quanta at once, before dropping them.  That means the odds of it scrambling all 9 quanta away from your opponent is
(The number of quanta types they use)(the number of quanta types they don't use)!-((The number of quanta types they use)(the number of quanta types they don't use)-9)!
DIVIDED BY
(12*the number of quanta types they have at least one of)^9
Bearing in mind the number of quanta types they have at least one of isn't constant

In the case of your opponent having 9 fire quanta, there's a 100% chance it will pull all 9 fire quanta out, and then a 46% chance of dropping none of them back where they belong.

You also have to account for the possibility for discord to help out your opponent.  Once your opponent has quanta of all 12 types, and is a mono deck, there's a 1/12 chance it'll grab a quanta they need, and an 11/12 chance it'll dump it where they don't want.

However, there's an 11/12 chance they'll grab a quanta they don't need, and a 1/12 chance it'll put it back in fire.  These numbers effectively cancel each other out!  Once they have quanta in all 12 types, discord becomes useless, no matter how many colors they run.  Statistically, however, this requires a long time to happen.  Fighting a mono deck, it might never happen.  Regardless, discord denies them progressively less quanta each time it hits them, and they gain progressively more quanta as the game goes on, until at a certain point it's only use is damage.

In conclusion, the first two times you hit your opponent with discord, if they aren't playing rainbow, you'll deny them about 10 quanta.  From then on, you'll deny them maybe 2 or 3 per turn.  Unless you hit them with it early, it doesn't matter.

Discord is VERY good turn 1 against a mono deck, but around turn 3 or so, it's useless.  While it's effect is BRUTAL early on, it's window of opportunity is so small, the card is probably balanced, but unless you can snowball the early advantage, or use some other quanta denial card to extend your window of opportunity, it's a noob trap.

Even if it selects all the quanta at once, it's possible to scramble fire quanta into fire quanta, thus appearing to scramble less than 9

I received reports that discord was not scrambling enough when I implemented it as scrambling one at a time, rather than removing 9 quanta followed by producing however much it removed
