It can probably be improved upon since I put basically no effort into it (i.e. it's the unupped counter except upped and with EMs), but it works just fine.

Looks good, in fact, because of the purify, you don't even need miracle, you will get EM if you miracle one turn before the final turn, with purify to up to give you the last hp's.

I just lost horribly with the deck though, but that was just RNG, 1 shield and 0 hourglasses in the first 15 cards.

Second (small) note: I would leave the steam machines unupped. Upgrading makes them cost 1 :water more, and all you get for that is 9 additional hp's, which are just useless, since you are running Quint, and Elidnis doesn't have any lethal CC.

had to improvise with the aether dark in the OP. elid didnt draw any water towers for the 1st couple of turns and didnt play that much either. ended up stealing a water tower a couple turns after it came into play and PU'd a 6|7 spirit. grew large enough and PU'd some other stuff for the EM

Ran the deck, had problems with outhealing by Elidnis, and i overproduced quanta (he quinted his big hitters, which wasn't helpful). I would reduce amount of pends, and instead add more quint/paralel universe).

So for someone with upped darkness and little else i'd go with:

Even without the upped cards.

Note: i lost with the upper deck (with upped steals and ls and one pillar), and i feel the bottom version would do better. Maybe even with addition of vampire dagger if one can afford it (as it's better upped).

Variation of Limitless Speed.
I cast purify when I start chaining.
So far, it worked well for me.

Pros:
No need to worry about Lobotomize.
You can - rarely - rage and momentum a spectre and do the combo with it. Though it would need at least 21 attack ---> 21 + 13 = 34 --> 34 * 3 * 2 = 204
You need no cc or pc.

I looked at the Dark / Aether deck in the opening post and thought about it for a bit.
Then I went and cobbled together the deck below, from my available card pool.
I EM'd Eldenis when his life bar was at 14, because I had no more dimensional shield in my tray. Seems half were bottom decked.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5l8 5l8 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 6qq 6qq 7gq 7k2 7tb 7tc 7u2 7u2 7u2 7u2 7u2 7u2 808 808 808 808 808 808 81q 81q 8pt

I'm a darkness player, so that's why I don't have all the other cards upped yet.
The aether sources are upped from the days I used RoL/Hope to grind FG's.

The strategy is:

- Play all quanta sources as they appear in your tray.
- Play all the SoV's when you can, sit tight and, hide behind the dimensional shields.
- The vampire dagger helps keep you alive (hopefully), through the early game.
- Use the miracle in an emergency, or two turns before you kill him if needed.
- Play the purify to heal your last point for the EM.
- The siphon life is in case you need to kill him before he's in dagger range. Though ware of the jade shield if he has it equipped.

Q: Will this work without upped cards?
A: I think so.

Q: Will it work without shards of void?
A: Definitely not.

Edit:

Got him again today. Used the exact deck I have above. Took a picture for anyone interested.

I looked at DeathKnyte decklist and made myself similar. EM with 3 cards left in deck. I was lucky to draw weapon on the first hand, so maybe second vampire dagger would be good choice?

It's bit different as i don't have purify here. Yes, he can do some poison damage, but nothing sanctuary can't heal. There are two Miracles in my list, but i don't think they are good choice as i didn't had quanta early on and he can OTK you when you don't have dimshield. There is some room for improvement, for example running holy flash instead of luciferin might be better option (or running two of those). I don't run siphon life as it can heal for ~4-8 damage at the end game, and fail against shield. Nightmare might be a better option, but he runs tons of removal so it's not that great either, barring occasional healing mid game giving him even more creatures: it's not a bad idea, but holy flash (upped!, otherwise it don't work with miracle) is simply better i thing.

Overall, if i would have to play against this false god again, i'd run such list instead:

Okay, i tested both versions, and i think the best counter would be

TL;DR:

Chain play Dimensional shields when you are low on hp and expect him to kill you next turn (watch out for parallel universe and immaterial dragons!), which is usually when you have 16-18 cards left. Always play shards before dagger. Play sanctuary as fast as possible. Have fun EM this false god!

Q: What percentage of times you failed to kill him when you have shields up, shards aren't fast ?
A: 8%, usually i kill him when i have 2-3 cards left. I lost once, left him on 1hp. I was really unlucky as i had just 1 in half of a deck, and 6th was my last card (i would won otherwise).

Q: How many EM?
A: 100% of wins so far.

There is another deck that have even higher chance to win:

Deck import code : [Select]
7jo 7jo 7jo 7jo 7k6 7k6 7k6 7k6 7k6 7km 7km 7km 7tb 7tb 7tb 7u2 7u2 7u2 7u2 7u2 7u2 808 808 808 808 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 8pt

3 Daggers help with the start which is crucial. Perhaps switching one shard to sanctuary would improve the winning odds, but decrease EM gold reward, it's your choice. I have about 80% win rate against this false god, mostly due to lack of light quanta early on (so you can play with 5 pillars instead) alongside lack of

Final Edit: After lot of testing, those are conclusions:
-you can die with aether quanta shortage if you don't get your healing fast
-you can die to dim shield shortage
-you can die to light quanta shortage (you don't get healing, so you have to play your dim shields fast)
-you can miscalculate damage output
-you can fail to deliver killing blow thanks to shards of void shortage.

If you fully upgrade the  :light :darkness :aether deck I'd suggest adding sundials (like really add them, dont cut anything else from the deck). You can then choose to not draw with them, should you get few SoVs early on and otherwise they make shield chaining even easier.

Emd, 3 cards left, 3 dimshields left in hand used drawpower of sundials everytime; so long as you get both quanta and dont bottom deck all the dim shields this should be an easy win.

That's why i use 31 cards in the deck, with lower amount i very often won on the edge, just like you.

@up: I considered sundials, but they mess with mulligans, so i'm more likely to end up with sundials on starting hand without white quanta, which would be horrible. Still, probably one or two sundials aren't bad idea, as they can help you when your shield chain broke. I'm going to test it.

I used this deck to em him 3 times in a row. Beautiful thing with sundial is that you don't NEED to draw that card, so you can play them as 1 turn dim shield extending your deck, so you don't deckout yourself against elidnis. Why i use so few quanta towers ? because i need just 1 on starting hand, and i want light quanta at the start way more. Possibly one white shard can be replaced with light quanta, i didn't bothered to test.

Using 6 sanctuaries allow you to tank first few turns of onslaught, so you don't need to play sundials and dimshields.

Anyway, finetune the deck, to help Oracle driven folks who need FG counters!
