Because "Other" isn't strictly an element, you can make it a thin vertical strip running below the other 12 elements. It could be the ground, with assorted weapons and Shards buried in it.

I think you mean, 'horizontal' strip, or else it'd divide the elements in half or something. ^^;;

Otherwise, I vote for Lyelle's idea, and with Time and Aether, why not have a lightning bolt striking down from Aether's side into Time, where Time distorts the lightning bolt effect with shading (You could also put a person in between the two, on Aether's side walking through an object into Time's world, where you see an older/younger version of the person in question).

Put lightnings in the Aether world, and put some vortex effects in the Time world. In the Aether world, a person comes out of a window that appears in mid-air; that person extends into the Time world, where he gets younger/older.

Beautiful work, Lyelle.  Having worked with css, I understand that this isn't as easy a task as it may appear.  I like how you incorporated the elemental signs to the non-hover images.  Such a small change really increases accessibility, and it still looks beautiful.

This looks FANTASTIC!  (The addition of 'Other' was a cute touch before all of the elements) - but I'm going to take a guess at the two potential issues of the layout:

1) The coding to use it on the front page of Wiki has a limited compatibility or may cause potential coding areas in regards to space, format, and/or redirecting users quickly to the page of the corresponding element.

2) The design shows bias towards certain elements.

Still, +brownie points for this contribution.

"Evanescent"? In which aspects was the font personlized?

Oh, and I know the font on the cards was Dauphin. Chriskang told us.
