Fire cards

All of the fire cards have been added to the new wiki with a better format than the old one. If you see any problems with any of the cards, please post here and let me know.

Some problems I see

There are a few sets of fire pillars listed as white/light nymphs. Edit: it seems that every element has some pillars listed as white nymph. Perhaps it's something to do with the template.Fire Nymph, Fire Spirit and Fire Spectre have the wrong url to the quanta image

Well, first lemme say good job on transfering all those cards spawn9859, I know that takes a long time and some wiki skills. 

Each card has a link to a page for that card, I think it would be better if you could get to each cards page by clicking on the card.  The titles for each card link there and that is good, but they also need to be formatted better because the spacing doesn't seem quite right.  I did end up going to each cards page and rating them though.  : )

There is no reason to list "ELEMENT: Fire" for each card.

Another thing you could add is $$ for selling each card.

I'd like to see the cards ordered the same way they are in game, that would be:

PillarAsh EaterDragonFire SpiritFire BoltFire ShieldDeflagRain of FireImmolationLava GolemRage PotionFahrenheitRed Nymph

Basically all I'm saying is it'd be nice if it was a little more like the old list: http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/Mark_of_Fire  Very simple and easy to read.

I suggest we change the price to "X|Y", where X is buy price and Y is sell price.

Most of the cards are still listed as white/light nymphs because that was the template I used when I duplicated them.

Yep, there are some issues with the images that need fixing.

The spacing etc. sucks because it still uses the default layout of this one plugin I'm using. I will do a custom layout at some point which will have a tighter layout and bigger title (name of the card).

I had the buy/sell at first but then I started thinking about it. Selling price is always 70% of the original prize. Is it relevant? I mean does someone go to Wiki to see much he will get for selling a card? I can't see that happening.

Having a lot of data is good, but having useless data is not good because all it does is it clutters the page.

Hm.. I like alphabetical lists myself because they usually make it easier to find a specific card but I guess having the cards ordered the same way they are in game also makes sense. We'll have to think about it.

I'm 100% sure that the final version will look better than on the current Wiki.

Ok, I fixed the bugs, changed a couple of images and changed the layout a bit.

When you mouse-over on the card name you will see the image of the card appear. This is a cool hover plugin we have. Every time I write a name of the card, for example as a part of body text, the Wiki will automatically make this hover link.

What do you think?

I like the hover thing a lot. The only downside of it is that for upped cards that share a name with unupped cards there is no distinction. Fahrenheit is the only example I can give of this in the fire section.

But for the same name thing... Upped Fahrenheit will be "Fahrenheit (elite)".

I think spawn was trying to say this same thing to me yesterday but I misunderstood. Yes, when the name is the same, it only shows one image.

I fixed this by adding BOTH images to hover.

I know you can never please everyone but this is getting ridiculous. How can you possibly not like the hover?

See those links in the body text? See how easy it it for a newbie to know what is being said when he can look at the card with hover or even click the link to get to the page in question? Hover put those links there automatically.

If you honestly cannot see any use for that, then.. I don't know what to say.


One more thing about hover. It's bugged right now and kills some of the deck thread titles but that's easy to fix.

I've been thinking about it ever since we moved to this new forum.

Unfortunately there's no ready-made plugin for this purpose and it would require a lot of custom coding. We might do it at some point in the future though.

As for loading times.. it will increase them a bit but I don't think it would be noticeable.
