Antivirus Warning for Elements Wiki https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=45082.msg1021675#msg1021675

Hopefully this is the appropriate sub-forum.

My Antivirus is blocking the Elements Wiki (http://elementswiki.co.cc/) when I attempt to navigate to it. In addition certain parts of the forum (most recently the FAQ) are triggering warning notifications. Has anyone had a similar problem, or do you know a likely cause of the issue?

Currently running ESET Smart Security, browsing in Firefox.

Obviously I don't think anything malicious is actually present, I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.

That's, um, not the Wiki. This is.

It may have been the advertisements on the forum that triggered it. Has anyone else had this issue?

My bad, I should have been more clear. When I follow the link to the wiki in the upper right corner menu it works fine, and I go to the actual page. However when I use the same upper right menu to go to the official Elements the Game page, and then click the link to the wiki under the game window, I'm sent to the blocked site I posted earlier. Obviously this isn't a big deal for me or anything, I just thought it might be useful to bring up if anyone else is having similar issues. Advertisements sounds like a very probable explanation.

That link, funnily enough, is broken. It doesn't lead to anything at all. It used to be the link to the old Elements Wiki, but the company that provided the domain name shut down. I've been trying to get Zanz to fix the link, but until then, you'll just have to use the link in the upper-right.

Oh, and the reason your antivirus software was blocking it is because .co.cc domains were notorious for being used by scammers and for various other illegal purposes.

OK, thanks for the clarification.

It's cool how active the forum members are in providing support for the game. Seems like it would be nice if the developer would allow an even more hands on role.

When I started playing here some weeks ago I noticed the same thing about that broken link and posted it in the bug forum too.. it's in fact a bit misleading that the wiki link under the game is broken while the one in the forum works fine.
I mean - it's of course not that critical, but on the other side, changing a link shouldn't be something that costs a lot of time to fix.
