What to do about the new articles that are made in the old wiki?

All the strategy articles in the old wiki had already been moved to the new wiki. However, articles in the old wiki are being created and/or edited every day.

I know that once Zanz changes the link in the Elements home page, people will start going to the new wiki instead of the old one. However, Zanz did not change the link yet.

If a new article is created in the old wiki, what do we do? Do we immediately move it to the new wiki, or do we ignore it?

And this brings me to another question. If an article, new or old, is edited in the old wiki, do we also edit that article accordingly in the new wiki? Replicating every single edit from the old wiki to the new wiki can be very tiresome, and I am not sure about its necessity.

A more simplified version of my question is this: When do we completely sever the link between the old wiki and the new wiki, and let the new wiki run independently?

I think the old wiki should remain in place until we're all set up and satisfied with the new one. It's a great way to make sure we haven't missed anything. Even though I think a lot of that info is outdated... even if people are still editing it. However, I think any updates to the old wiki are fruitless and no effort should be spent there. I think we should just update the new wiki as changes are released and continue populating the new wiki until it has as much information as the old one. 

Short answer: I think the new wiki editors should use the old wiki as a knowledge base/resource for populating the new wiki. Normal users should use the new wiki as soon as the card list is complete, unless they cannot find what they need there. In that case, they should check the old wiki.

Akromat is telling the truth.

Card list is hands down the number one priority at the moment and I will do something about it tonight. Once we get the cards in place, the Wiki will start to look a lot more finished, and hopefully we can do the migration some time after that.

Like I've explained before, we cannot just kill the old wiki because Wikia (the company who provides the hosting) doesn't allow that (yeah, pretty cool huh?). Once we (hopefully) move to the new Wiki, we'll just slowly keep moving the rest of the articles. At some point we have moved all the important ones, after which we can just forget the old Wiki.

Why dont you just edit the old wiki

On the front page

In huge huge huge CAP
And say, we have moved to the new wiki <URL>

This will at least stop some of the new post get posted

And also add banners or something around the old wiki so when people see every article, they will know there is a new wiki

The new wiki is not ready for that just yet.

We need to post the cards first and do a couple of editing tutorials.

@yaladilae: I don't think Wikia will allow that. It wants all its wikis running. One thing I could do is to lock the main page of the old wiki, because I can pretty much think of some justified reasons for doing that.

So, card list is top priority. All right. Forget the strategy articles for now. Done.

You can start moving stuff from to the current wiki. Just look at what is missing from the new one and add them there. There might be some missing categories etc. but that can be fixed later.

All you need to do is "Ad New Post" and do some copy-paste. Very simple.

Meanwhile I'll do the cards.
