Creating OUR Radio - Step 1: What music do you like?

Progressive trance, techno.
No, rock and heavy-metal makes it too hard to focus on grinding.

Hm... well for grinding, I like Rock, Punk and similar stuff.
A few groups with a bunch of awesome songs that just popped into my mind are: "Unheilig", "Foo Fighters", "The Bloodhound Gang", "The Offspring", "Ramstein", "Stratovarius" and "Nightwish".

When I'm sitting in the chat, doing some stalking or something that requires the use of the brain, I prefer no sound at all, or just something calm, relaxing and not too loud.

I can listen to pretty much anything that isn't Techno.. or house... or electro... or other stuff which has a own name but is actually just the same as Techno.That just makes my ears bleed and my forehead red and hurting *smack*.

Also MLP theme. When drunk.

I can listen to just about anything that's not country though.

Pretty much anything without many real lyrics. Preferably instrumental rock, VGM, and any variation of techno or drum-and-bass.

I'm much of a metalhead, but I enjoy anything with a solid beat and vocals that aren't edited beyond belief.

Personal favorites include Epica, Kamelot, Eluveitie, Korpiklaani, Sixx AM, In Extremo, Siddharta, Sisters Of Mercy, Nick Cave, and then some.



Really, the only thing I'd love to see in Elements Radio is consistency: I really dislike when musical styles jump all over the place over the course of a half hour. Some tracks from a similar genre/artist, or at least with a similar tempo just makes it much easier to listen to for me.

Here I was thinking I was the only one in the elements community who liked Sixx AM. On a more related note, I like bands like Motley Crue, and Alice Cooper.

... Anything that wasn't released in the past 20 or so years, unless it was released by a band FROM 20 or more years ago (i.e, classic rock). I almost never listen to radio stations hosted by the game I'm playing simply because there's so much (IMO) junk music floating around there. Classic rock is enjoyable, hard to find offensive (most of the songs, at least) and doesn't break your focus. I also strongly despise the "sex, drugs, money" mindset of the latest generations music.

i think any slow music will do. and occasionally some fast one. i live in eastern so i prefer some anime songs as well.

I usually like things that are either in your face, or slower and atmospheric.

The atmosphere and "drive" are most important aspects.

Electronic-ish: Bit Shifter, Armin van Buuren, clAud9, Nullsleep, VNV Nation, Higedriver, Renard Queenston, Nujabes.

Rock/Metal: Machinae Supremacy, Vocaloid Rock (Gumi - Mozaik Roll).

And others, which always slip my mind...
