- Happy Hardcore.
- Anything with a dark mood and a decent bassline.
- Death Metal or Grunge might be best, but not so popular. I'd go with anything that has a slow beat and a heavy bassline.
- Rock. Duh.
- Anything with a dynamic tempo.
- Really fast songs.
- Metal / Dubstep.
- Dance music / Breakbeat.
- Uplifting trance, Happy not-so-hardcore Hardcore.
- Classical music.
- Liquid Drum n' bass.

You can probably see the influence of my being a techno junkie, but that's how I see it.

Aether embodies that which has always been there. The natural rhythm that's part of our biological composition. What else but epic classical music fits here? Psytrance, I suppose, to embody the unconventional and electrifying. It is the one electronic genre that focuses the most on hypnotising rhythms and different sounds.

This kind of fuse music is prominent in video games nowadays and thus relatively easy to find in series like Starcraft and Warhammer.

As for Psytrance examples, Infected Mushroom are the kings of weird stuff with pieces like Facing:

And dozens more. I don't think -fast- music is a must, but I do think there has to be ambience. A "mood" if you will, often mystical or at least electronic/epic. In that vein, some Dark Ambient works as well now and then, and even the occasional Industrial piece.

Instead of just listing random genres for elements, I think we should do something like what Higs has done, analyzing each element and then assigning it a genre based on its nature. For example, an easy one: Fire is fast, powerful, and dominating, so a fitting genre would be hard rock (energetic, fast, heavy). Of course we should go more in-depth then that example.

And also I would like to point out that we should choose 12 genres that people actually listen to in this forum. Some people have suggested stuff like jungle drums for life, but let's be honest, who would actually listen to that? Instead, genres like electronic or metal are much more popular in this forum, and therefore should be included.
