Elements Infinity War - RulesFight alongside the heroes and villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to collect all six infinity stones and achieve absolute power
1. SIGN-UPS- To sign up, make a post in the separate sign-up topic.
- Once you sign up, send a private message to the host with your bids. The bidding process will be explained in later sections.
- Players who do not send in bids will be assumed to have bid 0 on every Character.
- After sign-ups end, all Characters and upgrades will be revealed.
- There is a maximum of 24 players total.
2. DECKBUILDING- Each player has a Character and an Upgrade Count, which is determined at the end of the bidding phase.
- Each Character is assigned to an Element and a Signature Card.
- Players must build their decks with at least
50% of cards from their Element.- Players
may not use the Signature Cards of other Characters who are currently alive. The list of active Signature Cards will be posted before each round.
- Players
may not exceed their Upgrade Count.- Some of the players will have one or more infinity stones, which can change possession over the course of the event.
- Players may utilize the bonuses of all infinity stones in their possession, some of which may bend the above rules.
3. CHARACTERSThere are 24 Characters in the event, and each player will have a unique Character. Characters and Upgrade Counts will be determined by the bidding process. Characters in

4. INFINITY STONESInfinity Stones grant bonuses or powers to their owners. Infinity Stones will transfer ownership over the course of the event, but the six Infinity Stones are initially owned by Loki, The Collector, Red Skull, Thanos, Vision, and Doctor Strange.
Name | Original Owner | Bonus |
Space | Loki | The owner of the Space Stone has (n-30)/2 Bonus Upgrades, rounded up, where n is the size of the owner's deck. |
Reality | The Collector | The owner of the Reality Stone is only required to have decks with at least 40% of cards from their Element. |
Soul | Red Skull | The owner of the Soul Stone may use the Signature Card of 1 Character in all of their decks. This card must be the same for every game in a match. |
Power | Thanos | The owner of the Power Stone has 5 Bonus Upgrades. |
Mind | Vision | The owner of the Mind Stone may ask to see their opponent's deck for Game 1 at the start of the match. The owner then has ten minutes for additional deckbuilding before the game must start. The opponent is required to use the deck they revealed in the first game of the match. |
Time | Doctor Strange | The owner of the Time Stone is granted the option to re-do a lost game, once per match. The result of the game is voided, and players must then replay the game with the same decks. This power must be invoked by messaging the opponent before the next game is started. |
5. BIDDING- After signing up, players should send their bids to the host. The deadline to send bids will be 1 day after the deadline to sign up for the event.
- Bids consist of a numeric value from 0 to 15 for each of the 24 Characters. Players may use the template below.
- A higher bid results in a higher chance of being given a Character, but a player’s bid is subtracted from the initial Upgrade Count of 15 for the Character they win. The full bidding process is explained below.
6. STRUCTURE- Each round, all players are paired against an opponent.
- Players are
eliminated from the event upon losing a total of two matches.- Pairings are determined randomly, on the condition that players will not face the same opponent twice if possible.
- The 6 players who hold infinity stones will not be matched against each other unless necessary (meaning, there are fewer than 12 players remaining). This rule prevents a single player from acquiring a large number of infinity stones early into the event, or from a player losing the event without ever losing an individual match.
- If there are an odd number of players, a random player with the highest number of infinity stones is given a bye, on the condition that a player will not be given more than one bye in the event.
- Upon winning a match, players are given all infinity stones of their defeated opponent.
- The player who
collects all six infinity stones wins the event and receives 1 Mark/Nymph and a reward icon.
7. MATCHES- Matches are
best-of-five. The first player to win three games wins the match.
- At the beginning of each round, players are paired against 1 opponent. Players have
7 days to make the fight happen. They must contact their opponent using a private message and try to find a time that suits them both.
- Players are expected to play the entire match at once, rather than spacing out the individual games over the course of multiple days. Players are not allowed to spend more than 10 minutes deckbuilding in between games.
- In the event of a desync, both players finish the game against the AI. If only one player defeats their AI opponent, that player is the winner. If both (or neither) players win, the game is replayed with the same decks. Upon defeating the AI opponent, a screenshot of the turn of the win must be provided.
- If the fight doesn't happen, the win is granted to the player who is more active in trying to find a suitable time.
- After the match, both players must submit their results and decks in the official thread for the round.
8. FAQ Is ___ card allowed? The only restricted cards are the Signature Cards of the other Characters in the event. Note that the pool of restricted cards decreases over the course of the event, as players are eliminated. If there are fewer than 24 players at the start of the event, the Signature Cards of the unassigned Characters will be made available.
How exactly does the Space Stone work?If your deck uses 30 cards, you have the normal amount of upgrades. If it uses 31 or 32 cards, it has 1 Bonus Upgrade; if it uses 33 or 34 cards , it has 2 Bonus Upgrades, and so on. Bonus Upgrades simply add to the Upgrade Count for a game.
How exactly does the Soul Stone work? The owner of the Soul Stone gains access to 1 Signature Card belonging to another Character, in addition to their own Signature Card. They can choose which card this is, but it must be the same card for the entire match. They are not required to tell the opponent ahead of time.
How exactly does the Mind Stone work? The opponent must send over their Game 1 deck to the owner of the Mind Stone. The owner then has 10 minutes to build a counterdeck before the first game of the match begins. The opponent is required to use the exact deck they sent. The rest of the games in the match are played normally.
How exactly does the Time Stone work? After losing a game, the owner of the Time Stone may opt to re-do the game. This is done by messaging the opponent that they would like a re-do. The re-do must be used before the next game begins. The result of the game is then voided, and the game is replayed with the same decks. The owner of the Time Stone may only use the re-do once per match.
What if there are significantly more than 24 players interested in joining the event?Rules are subject to change and additional Characters may be added.
What if one player collects all 6 infinity stones, but there are other players in the event who are not yet eliminated? This is an unlikely scenario, but the other players are turned to dust.
Will there be lore?Depends on how much time I have and whether or not I have help hosting the event. Hopefully.
