I play against maths preventing me getting more Stones too early, or we throw my wealthy ass
to another Stoneholder, for a somewhat harder fight?

- The 6 players who hold infinity stones will not be matched against each other unless necessary (meaning, there are fewer than 12 players remaining). This rule prevents a single player from acquiring a large number of infinity stones early into the event, or from a player losing the event without ever losing an individual match.

He already got a bye in Round 2 though, so that's not an option.

From the Rules: 6. STRUCTURE
- If there are an odd number of players, a random player with the highest number of infinity stones is given a bye, on the condition that a player will not be given more than one bye in the event.

I think it's fine to randomize Wyand against anyone with a stone. Eventually, someone must fight someone else who has 2 more stones anyway.

This rule prevents a single player from acquiring a large number of infinity stones early into the event, or from a player losing the event without ever losing an individual match.

So, the rule essentially means that a player will only have the chance to obtain multiple stones after or in the same round as when every player in the event has had a chance to obtain one stone. The scenario this rule is meant to prevent is for a player to lose the event without ever losing a match (happened to me like 7 or 8 years ago, it's rough lol). In this upcoming round, a player with 2 stones is not necessarily matched against a player with 0 stones, as long as the player with 0 stones is matched against someone with at least 1 stone.
