As you may have seen, the total number of participants have been doubled, which means more people has the opportunity to join the fun. The sign-ups will be open until all spots are taken, or we can gather an even number of pairs. If there won't be enough players to fill up all the boards available, or the sign-ups would last too long; sadly, we have to round down the number of participants to fit the mechanics. I really hope we can avoid this.. (so bring your friends with you!)

The 32 players will be paired up on 16 different boards on Round 1, and this way the event will last for one additional round (5 in total).

Also, there may be a change in the length of each round (2 day reduction, which means 5 days instead of 7), to 'balance' out the increased size of the event. This means some of the rounds will take place solely on weekdays, so there may be some issues with it. It's only a plan, yet.. (drop some feedback if you'd like)

8 16 and 32 are of course magic numbers to do these kinds of events.. but since this event needs lots of hard work (14 decks to think and build) I doubt we will see 32 ppl joining it quick.  And since playing a whole match of this is long especially if we got time zones issues.. I would suggest we keep to 16 players and maybe have a few subs in case of drop out in round 1.  Otherwise it could turn into a nightmare fast with so many games not played or incomplete (so few people can play a whole game in 1 shot!)

A small update for deckbuilding rules: King now must use at least 6 cards per element. Sorry, but it seems this have been somehow left out :|

No more changes for awhile.. hopefully.

Round IV is delayed due to severe technical (connection) issues on our side.

Please try to finish your Round III match until then (think of it as a sort of extension). Thanks for your patience.

For the participants of the Final Round - pay attention:

The event would've been over for weeks now, and I believe more than enough delay (and damage) has been done to it already. So, if there won't be any progress in the game or any reasoning in the matter TODAY from any of you, the event will be shut down and penalties will be handed out accordingly.
I've lost my patience.

Because of the series of delays in game progress, and continuous arguments, Elements Chess is now closed.

There's no winner, no loser, no nothing. Just forget it.

Lets end it. No winner, and better luck next time

It's a shame it had to end this way. I had fun nevertheless.

Better luck next time.

It was really a great event. I enjoyed building decks for it and seeing them in action, and the chess part was very creative.
Somehow still around, somewhat
