Colored Names instead of Colored Text in Blab

I'd rather keep the current, because I agree it's easier to see who wrote what this way. Of course if you can make it toggleable then by all means go ahead.

I vote have coloured text by default, as that's easier to see who said what. However (and I think Z suggested this) then, if this feature is included, it should be toggleable between name and text - by default a user would see all the text coloured, but if they hit a switch then they see those colours on the names rather than the text.

Of course, if you're going to do that you might as well make those options independent - either fully coloured, or just names coloured, or just text coloured, or no colour at all.

I prefer colored text as it's easier to keep track of conversations (though bold and italic look redundant to me). I have nothing against making it toggeable too.

If a user hasn't picked a colour for their name, how about it shows the colour/style of their forum name?

In kongregate chat you see grey and white stripped background on the chat. Something like that with the colored names is why I voted yes. But if you can't clearly distinguish a new line at the very least from another up to being able to distinguish who said what, then my vote is no.

If we can't, however, I'd choose no for the previously stated reasons of clarity.

This is my current point too, though I'm neutral about seeing changes, even though I like how it is now.

Won't be enough to make it clean like IRC, but it'd be less of a headache looking at chat. All for it.

Either of is fine, if you think that you need text colors to see who is who you aren't really reading chat to begin with.
