Alternate Chat Idea

Have you ever been to Furcadia. I have and I like the avatar based chat. I was thinking we could use this. The only drawback is it requires a download. There is the ability to create user made areas. It uses its own programming language. Someone like Xeno could figure it out and create areas within the main area that was 1st created. These sub areas could be for stuff like tourney's, leagues and other stuff.

This is only a suggestion.  it could be an alternative to text only chat.

I don't think this is the right idea,  it needs a download, so new users will have to wait a bit before getting into the chat.
 I also don't think it can better than IRC  for chatting.

The simplicity is exactly whats so good atm. No need to change a perfectly running system.

This doesn't seem to be a primarily chat-based service, and the site itself seems a bit dodgy.

For future reference, we will be sticking to an IRC-based service for the foreseeable future. Feel free to suggest an alternative to the web client we are currently using, but anything else is a no-no.
