I see. I just encountered another one which rewarded me with 686 Electrum (+10 more Electrum from the double spins).

It happens periodically. As the formula is supposed to adjust after how many people play it, it can just keep going down and down (or up and up) until it hits a point it shouldn't be at. In the past, the rewards have always reset after a while when this happens. If it doesn't, I send a mail to zanz.

I'm afraid, it only rose up to 2 electrum per win, dropping down to zero once again after. Rest in pieces, Gold league, we'll never forget you

I still play Gold, though, I heard that much of Vindi's Holy Cows have been moved there.
