I've not tried it, so you would know better than me, but isn't three shields a little excessive?

hehe, yea I'm still tweaking it, but they do come in handy when up against a fire deck.

And of course if we've got the space we want to take at least one Shrieker rush. A Hematite Golem+Rage Potion could work well too.

The Voodoo deck you posted looks very interesting Dema, but unfortunately it'd take away one of our Discord decks to make use of the Novas and possibly the Graboids. However, the other cards would be good to keep as sideboards, since we'll undoubtedly face at least one Nova-based deck and we will hopefully be able to salvage them.

This deck might be effective as a deckout as well:

Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vg 4vg 4vg 4vg 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 592 592 592 592 595 595 595 595 595 595 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa
Could add a few cards, or tweak Pend count to use SS instead of BB.

A few more things: Possibly a Wings beat-stick deck, and I would definitely say that Mirror Shields in addition to Black Holes would be effective side-board cards. A lot of the most powerful decks were rainbow based, and if we'd had either of those options for use last War, we'd probably have been able to beat Team Fire. It's also the only good counter I can think of to stop that ridiculous Fractal-Phoenix deck, which kevkev will surely use.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

I'm glad to see you're back Terro (I think?). That antimatter deck looks very nice. And the voodoo deck I posted would just run off sideboarded cards. Ya, it would mean we couldn't use a second discord deck that round, but if we think the voodoo doll deck would be a better option to take than the discord deck, it would be a good trade.

I figured we'd put wings in as sideboard, and I completely forgot about mirror shields. Black holes might be useful, but they are really expensive too. A better counter to fractal phoenix would probably be protected fire shield+SS stall. Maybe golems in there as attackers. A deck like that would probably also work against a golem rush if the fire shield can come out early enough.

Yay, terro's back.

The antimatter deck looks a bit high on earth quanta maybe -2 pendulums (earth) +2 SS

Mirror shields would be a solid take against both light and fire. BH is the only counter to the deck that beat us bad last time. Wings... I'm not so sure. FracEnix dies to the Fire stall dema mentioned above.

Well, probably wouldn't need that many EQ's... replace one with a pillar and that would probably work.

Awww, fire got jmdt?

But anyway, that deck is basically just a variation of our devourer-denial one, so simply sideboarding the Nightmares would be a solid bet. (It's also pretty low on Pillars, since we won't get the advantage of having them upgraded, replacing some Shriekers in that with Golems would be a good idea too)

I know Essence likes to throw a lot of Bolts in his decks as well so the mirror should be a nice asset in that case as well.
