Option 1Option 2
82x Stone Pillar
8x Stone Dragon
12x Plate Armor
6x Pulverizer
4x Titanium Shield
4x Protect Artifact
10x Earthquake
4x Stone Skin
10x Graboid

20x Gravity Pillar
6x Gravity Shield
6x Otyugh
4x Gravity Pull
4x Momentum
28x Time Factory
6x Scarab
6x Reverse Time
4x Procrastination
6x Golden Hourglass
4x Pharoah
4x Eternity
4x Deja Vu
80x Stone Pillar
12x Graboid
12x Gnome Riders
12x Basilisk Blood
6x Shrieker
6x Antlion
12x Hematite Golem

6x Lava Golem
6x Immolation
6x Phoenix
6x Ash Eater
6x Reverse Time
6x Precognition
4x Deflagration
6x Rage Potion
6x Fire Buckler
4x Rain of Fire
4x Earthquake
One of those two is probably our best option, the first is a lot more control-based and the second more focused on speed. The problem with the2nd one is that I feel we'll lose instantly if our Lava Golems get taken out. I mean, after trhat, we've only really got whatever leftover phoenixes and Hematite/Dragon combos with Rage. Not enough to make 4 decks off of.

Suggestions?

I've been doing some thinking, and though I *was* advocating earth/time/fire, I've decided you're right about the current setup.

The main reason to take fire would be for perm control to counter decks like aether, but if you use a pulverizer, that's unneeded. You won't get to use fun immolation decks or anything, but that's really the only minus.

As to the current card list (option 1), I strongly suggest working in basilisk blood. It's a very good control card for decks that don't involve scarabs.

I would also probably go 8x stone dragon, 10x graboid versus 10x stone dragon, 8x graboid.

Well, the entire point of the deck is to use Scarabs/Otyughs to eat everything, and Gravity Shield for whatever is too big. Either one works, and I'm posting up 2 more viable ways to go with the vault.

You may be right on the Graboids thing, it's just for the Gravity decks that require Pulvy to use and therefore won't be able to take any :time.

Ok, so if memory serves me correctly we get two decks (sixty cards) each right? I'm not sure how you've decided to take cards so far, but should we just create eight decks? If we make them each different enough from another, we are more likely to be able to use cards we win from other people. Right now we are only using like three elements, so we may have a hard time getting usable cards from other people.

Well yes, I supposed that works.

I'm feeling pretty stupid for not thinking of that.... I guess the big problem is that you don't have a "Sideboard" to choose from, for example you'd want less creature control, more perm control vs. an Aether deck, but you might want to remove those Earthquakes vs. a Fire opponent.

How're we going to choose which decks everyone wants though?

I guess we could all post here with what we want and try to switch people around until it works.

So, I'll make another thread.

I'd say we just make eight good duo/trio decks (or maybe a couple mono decks if we want). Then, depending on who we get matched up against, we'll decide who takes what deck. I don't think we'll know exactly what type of decks we'll be facing, but we know that at least half of each deck has to be from their team's element, and we may be able to determine what decks people from each element are more likely to make (we may want another thread for this).

We'll probably want make counter decks, at least four of them (I'd say). We could still go with a shrieker rush because those are good. I'm just tossing some ideas out though.

What decks were you thinking of making when you made those two lists, Terro?

I'm a bit tired so just throwing out some thoughts right now....

I'm not sure how many decks we'll be able to make but since the cards are shared I think we should try and find a way to make at east 4 decks that are used for countering (general counters since its harder to make a specific counter and a bit unwise unless u truly know what you are up against.) 1-2 good rush decks would be nice as well. I like Shrieker rush since its very good and quite reliable but it is also predicatble that Earth would use such a deck thus it could be countered quite easily.

So just run something to counter it's counter :)

Taking counter decks is actually not going to work out though most likely, because you can't switch decks during the match, so if your counter fails you basically lose. It's much better to build a few ore well-rounded decks. If there was a team Rainbow, then Black Holes would be effective, since they are required to go Rainbow.

On second thought to that "Build 8 decks" plan, what we could go with is 4 different decks, with a big 30-card sideboard to modify them on based on your opponent. (Obviously we'd switch decks and such, but everyone can be in charge on 1)

Ya, I've been trying to stay away from the skrieker rushes because people will most likely try to counter that first. I've found a neat deck that's based on poison and uses basilisks blood to stall... I'm just not sure which version to use, 2 arsenics and 5 or 6 poisons or 2 arsenics and 6 chrysaoras... Both do great in AI 3, and as soon as my internet is back up I'll test them both in PvP to see which is better, or if they can even work against PvP decks.

Whoever just ninja'd me, that's a good idead (I can't see your name on my phone). But how about we compromise and go with 5 or 6 decks and the rest as a sideboard? That way if we do horrible in the first round we won't have to hope we can make a good deck from our available side board.

Yeah, going 5-6 is probably better since we probably won't need more than 15 cards max for the sideboards, and some decks may need as low as 6.

('Twas Terro, btw)

I think the version with simple Poisons might be better, as they can be fueled simply with the mark along with Arsenics (Although a Water deck could take Freezes for even more stalling...). I have an Auburn Nymph too, if there's room to put in the sideboard.

Ofc, a stalling deck like that would be infinitely better if there was a way to incorporate Gravity Shield, but since it's got to be unupped, that's 5 novas... Novas would be nice for sending out Chrys and a few other choice cards without switching to  :water Mark though.

The vault just hasn't been updated yet. That was Terro's rough draft. We've made several decks that we may or may not use, and we'll probably base our vaults off of those and whatever other decks we come up with, and the rest of our cards will be sideboard cards.
