Round 6 - Strategy https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=16513.msg211381#msg211381

This ought to be a fairly straightforward round.

We have 2 winning decks, RT and thorn shield stall, and a couple of salvages to potentially turn them into something else.  We pretty much pick who to play them against, or how to surprise expectations and that'll be the end.

I expect this round will be terroking and demagog fighting with upped cards, so everybody else can just help them by testing their decks against opponents or looking through salvage for any new idea.

Earth is pretty much on it's last stand now, but we have at least one fairly strong RT deck left.  Unfortunately if you tell your opponents in advance what deck you'll bring, your fate basically boils down to whether they feel like putting in the work to pick a deck that crushes you.  Can't really do much about that except try to find a surprise in salvage.

Actually, we could be toast here.  We don't have any form of pc at all.  Dim shields > us and anybody who looks up our cards will probably notice.

Some deck ideas:
Lobo's are effective vs chrysoara's or flesh spiders.  Phase dragons can fly through wings and death really has nothing to take them out with.  The key is to half attack with burrowed creatures, and half with aether creatures.  Extra cc options like lightning can also work against the main hp.  The upped choices are because:
-electrocutor ability is cheaper, and that can single handedly wipe out a chrysoara rush.
-deadly poison is the only thing we have that goes through dim shields, and our enemies should know we have nothing for pc -> this might be the only form of damage we get for stretches of battle if they're smart about defense
-elite phase dragons - half the quanta get sunk here, and they're virtually unstoppable as far as death is concerned, fire and forget for us

Hopefully we run into other failing teams that might suicide against us (We are a potential suicide target because our players use upped cards). Otherwise, just hope we choose the right decks.

With any luck, they will sense our weakness and throw away suicides to bolster other critical matches.  But that would be illogical...  I wouldn't expect anyone to suicide against us now.

All death has to do is use a poison stall deck, which would beat any deck we use.

Updated, I'm taking a liking to phase dragons and lobo vs death at the moment, and we have the option to salvage.  They fly (pass through wings) and being immortal are immune to antimatter and plagues and basically anything death can do for cc.  Lobo wrecks chrysaoras and the like as well.  A massive swarm of dual element creatures to knock through bone walls.  Part burrowed, half immortal.

The thing we have to watch for is a dim shield or something, but there's nothing we can do about that except hope we get enough damage through for the one deadly poison to finish them off.  As it addresses our biggest weakness, deadly poison makes a good choice for upped card.
