Strategy discussion thread so that we don't overclutter the deckbuilding one.

Fights:

:earth Demagog - :entropy 10 men - dema is entropy's hardest fight, they will use their best deck, I think they give you a flying discord deck similar to what $$$man faced (see test deck thread)
:earth Dreggs - :fire Stinnger - initial thought is that fire uses a poison/bolt deck
:earth Terroking - :gravity cebra
:earth $$$man - :time Immolation - initial thought - time has 3 aether fights, I think they can make 3 quanta denial decks for them if they can, or maybe one poison, for $$$man I think they use the entropy antimatter/devon dragon deck against him, second choice is blessed dune scorps
:earth Korugar - :gravity Indrejue
:earth TimerClock14 - :aether gocubbies1212 - aether has 3 time and 2 earth fights this round
:earth coinich - :water The Dictator
:earth Skydaemon - :light Ryan666 *** Boosted element event card - they have no hard fights, expect a good deck
:earth Legit - :aether thraexis11 - aether has 3 time and 2 earth fights this round

We got an "easy" round this time, fighting mostly rookies other than demagog.

lieutenants:
:water nilsieboy
:time dragoon
:light implosion
:life Gl1tch
:gravity jumbalumba
:fire jmdt
:entropy Amilir
:death Malduk
:darkness Kuroaitou
:air quantumT
:aether dragoon1140

What our enemies know about Earth Vault after round 1 (all other enemy vault info on other tabs here also, as well as totalenemyvault which is a sum of each card used by every opponent excluding earth decks, and totalvault which is total war card usage stats for all teams including earth):

Because of the upped :light card event bonus.  Here's a list of the elements that used light cards last round and how many.

:darkness - None
:light - 14 morningstar, 24 miracle, 4 mirror shield, 8 blessing, 7 holy light, 2 golden dragon, 6 photon
:aether - 2 miracle, 1 morning star, 6 holy light
:air - 5 morning star, 2 hope, 1 miracle, 3 holy light, 1 golden dragon

So far, the most common non-pillar cards (excluding team earth decks) are:
-poison 55
-deflag 52
-discord 48
-lightning 45
-nova 44
-steal 40

Most common creatures are:
-flying weapon 39 (I'll call this a creature)
-phoenix 38
-graboids 36 (this is excluding team earth decks remember)
-devourer 30
-lycanthrope 28
-abomination 26
-horned frog 24

Most common weapons:
-discord 48
-arsenic 25
-morningstar 20
-owl's eye 18
-titan 18

Most common shields:
-dimensional shield 37
-wings 23
-bone wall 17
-ice shield 19
-procrastination 12
-dissipation shield 11

Interestingly, not a single gravity shield has been played by anybody yet, they're one of our potential banes.

I've been keeping the enemy vault up to date, if you want to see what elements have used so far that's accurate for everything up to and including legit's fight.  Same with the intel threads, all fights you see in those are in the enemy vaults.

Remember, 24 max of same element cards, and 12 max of off element cards.

I've also added a "totalenemyvault" tab.  It automatically sums every card used by all opponents which we know about, if you want to see what's getting a lot of use.

Wow, nice work. This will be crucial for next round. I think I'll just give you karma for all the hard work you've done for this team (And because you have 0).

As of now, the enemy vault and all intel threads are complete with the round 1 battle data.  The statistics in the totalenemyvault should be accurate too.

Thinking about my matchup.

EQs/devourers/discords are a good way to deal with their miracles which will almost certainly be there.  Morningstars and blessed dune scorps are also blocked by wings, the issue with that deck is I need to get them out on the second round somehow, not wait 4 rounds to build up the quanta.  If I end up vs dune scorps, speed in getting the shield up matters.  If it wasn't for the miracles the voodoo deck might've worked.

Something with a protected grav shield and grav pull might work too if it's fast.

Another option is a variant of the immolation golem rush with a couple eq's.  Basically, golems can outgrow miracles eventually, and a set of eq's ought to ensure that.
-I'd peg SKY1 at a 40% chance of beating dune scorps, and 100% of beating miracle/SS stall deck.
SKY1 Deck (70%):
-adjusted into following during testing
-the purify never prevented losses because the scorps were still there and often in multiples when you use it, better to focus on win conditions like getting cards on the table early
-the novas are effiiciency things, 1 nova+2 immolate = 3 lava golems, which is important if they're potentially rt'ing them

-I'd peg SKY2 as a 55-60% chance of beating miracle dune scorps, and 0-5% of beating stall deck.
SKY2 Deck (30%):
