The idea is to outrush Aether by denying a quanta and mashing shields with deflags or Pulvy.
CC is mostly useless in this matchup, but aether is usually low on quanta. EQ will be salt in the wound.

An idea was to have 4 deflags upped in there but I came to the conclusion that'd be too much.

The Immortal sounds like a good deck.
Here it is useless to put in a failsave-star since if they go for a stall, the star won't be able to kill the opponent at all and adding FW's won't do much good.
Denying quanta with EQ's might be a way to go there (countering Sky Blitz) but the question would be: what to remove? I'd rather stick with the normal immortal, which counters many decks

I have a hard time choosing between GotP/Grab and something with Purify. The problem here is that they might predict the RT's which could hurt quite bad when facing Mummys (though cluttering their hand with Pharaoh is fun!). Also, a bonewall can slow you down pretty much, even though rewinding and burrowing can help. Skullshield is also a pain in the butt, though skellis can be mutat =)
So in the end, I chose GotP for this matchup.
(6 ups for grabos, the 1 health more can make the difference. Please get them if you don't have them already. Upped grabs are awesome anyway

Our opponent features Steal, Dusk Shield and Devourers. So we have to pack deflag, no permaments and... a bunch of creatures. EQ is rather useless since they will probably pack Devs against us anyway.
The answer would be: Immo Rush without weapons, they would be used against us anyway. Adding another deflag is possible.

Going with an Immortal agains fire is somewhat risky. You might get outstalled when they use a
deck (or just bolted to death), or clobbered down with Lava Golems.
The best shot vs. Stall would be a EQ/Dev deck, against a rush we could use a
heavy GotP/Grabs. This is more of a mind game, so I'll let RNG decide: GotP it is.
(IMO fire is scary enough to invest 9 ups here)

Again, poison stall has a certain ring to it, though it might be wise to keep an eye on possible darkness Quanta -> GotP/Nightmare, so keeping a filled hand might help there. It might be an idea to have 6 upped poison and replace 4 pillars with pendulums, or just have 3 upped for arsenics and and a shield.
