Incognito deck choosing round by round / War 11#

Here goes all deck ideas each round. This is so we don't bias each other with our very first ideas. So please post your ideas here first before you move it to the pad.

So last war we faced them twice, stalled them twice and beat them twice   
Maybe stalling again is to obvious? I was thinking maybe something like sopawardens or stall again? maybe with a dragon or 2 just to avoid being blocked by wings? They used wings once vs us last war. Bow is also an potion here. With Gen it's super hard to beat, but it might be predicted?

 
These guys likes to rush us. With Gen role I pretty much expect something like fractal or mono gravity. It's not easy to deal with.
Stalls are usually a bad idea due to overdrive and sofo, however a small 40 card sod stall is unexpected so could work.- if we ban fractal will say.
Other ideas are discobow. Unless they play rush-bow it would be a win I think.
Sopawardens might, might stand a chance vs mono or their bow. Needs testing.
I don't think we have anything else that is either fast enough or stally enough to win?

 
So these guys are really hard for us to beat.
I would suggest a bonewallbow. Simply because they love to play damses vs us and damse feed the shield with desication and thunderstorm. If we ban sofree will say.
Another idea is to ban wings and play mono earth, grabwinder or something else that is rushy.

 
Deuce got a brain that is he has managed to beat me just barely at so many occasions it's crazy.

With a fractal ban all they got left is aether mono rush, stall or aether bow rush.
Mono earth can deal with that, except for the slow aether mono version with imortal dragons- needs testing.
Otherwise we can grabwind them. We can bow rush them. We could even stall them, but then we need to be prepared to meet a bigger stall.

So we played squids vs them 3-4 times last round and they couldn't beat it. I'd like to know if they found an answer to it or if they've come up with something.

 
So these people have a really good stall counter. Since we baned nova we could use a stall.
Their best shot to beat it is probably fractal deck and that won't be enough with dials imo. They also made a strange siphone life lighting deck last year that did 2-3 vs our stall. We could add a reflect shield in case they play that.

 
Bow is one option. Rt rush is another. if we play bow we could play a disco version or a creature heavy.

 
Stall or bow are pretty sold choices vs entropy. Mono earth would probably work as well.

Round 3

We got a quite a few choices here. Fractal with lightnings. Dim stall+pa+dials with fractal. normal stall with reflect shields. Bonewall bow.
I kind of like the idea of fractal, if it's fast enough.

These guys lost 6 games in a row vs us last war. We played disco bow a lot. We also used mono earth.

A normal sopa wardens would work well too I think.

 
Fractal is neath vs these guys. But  a nymph tears deck would be cool. Light aren't that fast so nymphs tears should do fine. Sop wardens is of course an even better choice if we can field it. Bow aways works too.

 
They like playing sundials vs us. How about baning that and go fractal. They will most probably try a different shield like wings, bonewall dims or something. fractal can deal with all of that. Stall with morningstar should also work actually.

Round 4

Blacks vs  Gen Dani
we played them twice last year, stalled twice and won twice.
I  used sop deck and won vs their bow first round. Death really don't have much that beats our bow except a bigger stall.
However a big stall would lose horribly to our sop wardens so I don't think they would risk playing that except thy're really sure we would go stall. After all I used stall in 2/3 of my last matches.

So if they don't expect stall I would go stall. If they expect stall sop deck, fractal or rush bow with 2 deflags would be interesting choices.

Anelle vs  RR
Aether aether aether, why do we have to play these guys. Fortunately there is a EC.
Historically they like to rol hope us.Throw mono aether with sow at us. Their bow,  fractal anything.
Aether have so many good choices vs us
Mono earth is one deck that does pretty good vs most of their decks, but they start to get used to it. Stall works too. Disco bow should work too.

Megron vs  Spielkind
last two times they played weirdo stalls vs us. I'd like to Sop them, maybe with permafrost, dials or soemthing to increase the win rate vs frogtal or other rushes.

Dragon vs  Haink
we predicted them correctly but didn't do enough testing and lost a matchup we thought we would win. Probably because they used wardens this time instead of boids, thye're learning.
Tbh they might just as well play the very same deck again. Stall could work. Sop ain't as strong vs sod stall with dials as people think. Last war we used a bow with lighting to beat that version of their bow, could be expected though. We could copy and play our sop deck which is better.

Round 5

Hard as always. We don't really have a solid choice  vs them. The best we got is playing bow with discos. But wouldn't surprise me if they predict that. Not sure what else to do.
My guess is that they will play their bow with shokwaves, which beat both our stall and one of our bows last war. It did lost once vs our bone wall bow.

 
Last time they played fractix, probably to counter our stall. We played mono earth and won 3-2. A disco bow would be good here I think, that would also be able to deal with their stalls. A fractal+dim pa deck might work too. The deck needs to be stally or fast enough enough to not get outrushed by immo decks and fractal, but still fast enough to beat stalls with fire lances.

Bow can deal with that. Maybe Grabwinder is fast enough. Would need testing. Fractal ants should be as fast as fratal phoenix? or is golems faster? that is an option if so.

 
Mono earth is one option. The main problem is disco. But since we usually play bow vs them they might not bring it. Stall is also always an option vs entropy. Their best way to counter it is butterfly which they never use or a bigger stall. Bow works as well here.
Bow works as always unless they play their disco bow with BH. COuld use a bow with earth as mark for a change to deal with BH. Grabwinder is a secondary choice.

Extra note. Since it's a Gen we are facing. Ian has played bows in 3/4 games

I say mono earth them. Mono earth does the same as terratides in many ways, which they have serious problems beating. The benefit is that mono earth got more PC.
Otherwise terratides and the same stall we used last time are good options.

salvage vs the aether deck removed as you were also transmuting from that deck. Since vault doesn't catch that error, no penalty.

It's a good idea to post all the s/d/p/t and decks in a thread here if vault bugs out, like the #value that popped up this round. Also don't enter anything into the discard tokens cell (F9 iirc) if you aren't using them, a space bar there caused this round's bug.

Sorry; the discard cell was my fault.  I completely misunderstood the super event card and thought we had 2 to spend so I was screwing around with it trying to figure out why it didn't work the way I thought it did.

So basically we need to run 1 stall, 1 bow, 1 fractal deck and one sop deck. Possibly change one deck for mono earth

 
We stalled them last time and won. They might be expecting that. Do they still have their sop doll? deck that they used to beat that stall and bow last year?
Bow works too.


 
Disco bow is a good choice. However they might be expecting it since we used it last round. The other choice we talked about last round was fractal deck.


 
We used bow last time and lost vs mono gravity. Probably bad rng. Bow is an option again. However I think I prefer sop deck here. Stall could work too.

 
Sop deck is good, fractal works too. I don't think they're going to play the Rol-hope sop deck again. Stalling is always risky vs light
