Interesting.. exactly what I talked about for Light before Crusader was announced. It fits even better in Earth. Now to test it before spouting balance comments..
Iridium Warden seems balanced. It's not as easy splashing into Earth when unupped, and it's not strong in monoearth, so I think the cost is fair. Once Gnome Riders start generating
, we have a competitive deck, but not broken in the least.
Vanadium Warden is more complicated to judge because of how much easier it is to gain quanta when upped. Considering how much more effective it is in the upped environment due to more and cheaper buffs, I'd enjoy a cost increase of 1. Delay on a stick is really powerful due to the fact that it stops abilities as well.
Either way, I like what this card does to the metagame. Soft CC becomes more important once this card starts circulating, due to its cheap cost and high HP.
(Also, anyone else noticed both of these metals are silvery and used in industry, like Earth wants to protect its resources? The funny thing is that Iridium is hard and brittle, whereas Vanadium is soft and used as a steel additive. Makes me think of the Mandarin proverb "The tree that does not bend with the wind will be broken by the wind".)
(Also, Fractal is meh with this. You don't need more physical protection than 6 Wardens or Shields present. You'd rather make a more well-balanced deck that can deal with other types of damage and have faster offense.)
