I'm not really feeling earth getting reusable cc that's better than EE.
It would require a duo to match EE so as long as the cost is high enough ...

I'm not sure if a cost increase would be appropriate; its cost is similar to Arctic Octopus's pricing (though congeal lasts longer...) and so is shockwave to the buffed damage (sorta). Vand-al? Iri-tal? FractaWard? from what I've tested, it doesn't seem too destructive (similar to a Squid Fractal) on it's own. Great in Eternity stalls! (: and a single warden played from a mark isn't too bad X3

Try something like this:

Code: [Select]
6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77a 77a 77a 77a 77a 77a 77m 77m 77m 77m 77m 77m
?? are Vanadium Wardens

I think it's balanced.

It needs 1 turn to get rid off its summoning sickness.
It consumes 1  :earth just to delay 1 creature.
Opponent has more creatures than you have wardens.
You need duo and 2 cards if you want warden to damage creatures

Chat summarizes my opinion of the new card:

[08:23:30 AM] Dragoon1140: I leave chat for a few hours... and Earth gets a new card.
[08:23:46 AM] QuantumT: for the record i don't like it as is
[08:24:54 AM] Dragoon1140: I'm confused about it. So it damages the creature then protects it for a turn?
[08:25:13 AM] Malignant: It attacks the creature, and delays it for one turn.
[08:26:02 AM] Dragoon1140: So it + Chaos Power = Fun?
[08:26:17 AM] QuantumT: it + CP = OP
[08:26:36 AM] QuantumT: either that, or EE is massively UP
[08:26:37 AM] Dragoon1140: Well, as Zanz says, it's best that cards be announced a tad too powerful.
In other words, it needs a nerf, but every newly announced card does at some point.  A simple cost increase will be fine.

Seems fun, been long time since Earth got new card and I think this will please massively, Terro... Umm kakerlake... I mean whoever.
Itll probably have a one cost increase before it comes out so it's fine with me. (As long as Fractal doesn't get another Nerf *keeps an eye out for Fractal OP threads*)
Seems to give Earth a couple more synergy now, as it wasn't that usable with others before (doesn't include Light, and Water, and Fire, and Aether, and Gravity...) Still fomenting Duo-Trio-Quad is always good for game, giving more depth.

Yeah, if this card doesn't get nerfed, it's proof positive that Squid shouldn't be rare anymore.

No, it's going to be like Golem > Abyss. Strictly better.

Look at it this way:
NameIridium WardenArctic Squid
Cost:earth:water
Ability Cost:earth:water
EffectDelays for 1 turnDelays for 3 turns.
ProsKills on its own, with a buffWorks better with shockwave
Stats0|3, not damaged by shields1|2, damaged by shields
Stacks?Stacks, if you have more of theseDoesn't stack

wow, Earth got a buff.  Just played with the deck QuantumT posted a few times, did well.  Pretty fun.  When's the nerf coming?

Also, where is the art from?  Any known inspiration for the card from the Card Idea forum?

OP!
No, seriously, I like it a lot, but it could use a nerf (specially thinking about fractalling these guys).
