USES: Golems are known for their nice attack/quanta ratio while being quite resistant to CC.  They are resistant to all forms of CC except antimatter.  Gravity shield is also a nice counter to golems.

Just a little side note here:

Everyone talked at length about how good the new Abyssal Crawler is at 6/6 for 6 :water.


Steel Golem is 6/9 for 4 :earth, and it's ignored.


Conclusion: Earth is overpowered.  :p

You're right there. :water has only 2 attackers, and one of them is the dragon. :earth has 5 (Antlion, Graboid, (Assuming you can evolve it) Shrieker, Golem, and the Dragon), and the Golem takes it's place at the bottom of the totem pole.

I love it. The golem is my foot soldier. Admitted the defence boost is generous, but as long as it is the case, it can soak up all kinds of damage.

They put a lot of thought into the earth names as well, hematite being raw iron ore, and steel being, well, steel.

It's the mineral form of iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3), just one of many iron oxides, but it is mined as the main ore of iron.
