USES: Earthquake/Quicksand can be devastating to your opponent when played early in the game.  Because of this fact, it is recommended to bring 4+ in most decks, only with a few exceptions.  Earthquake is a strong form of denial, and synergizes well with both discord and reverse time.

Anyone feel this is even more overpowered now with the 1.21 changes?

Simply because the key cards are more expensive than ever and Earthquake is a long term denial of resource you either have to rush in mono or lose. The only solution is protect artifact and that is a turn to slow to match against an opponent who has the opening turn.

Any suggestions on countering if you think it isn't OP?

Oh, cmon! How could you say this is OP? I mean for 2 quanta it only destroys 3 pillars, leaving you with no chance for a good start and thus dead... Yeah, pretty OP IMO.

Well Quicksland is not very OP.
It just needs to be a little more expensive than it is.
But seriously, to get it in hand on the begining you spend 5 or 6 slots in your deck.
IT isn't for the begining imo. But you can own somebody with Quicksland
plus something from the folowing:
Pulveriser
Butterfly Effect (dam!!!)
Steal
Explode.

After 5 rounds, you can play and he can't.
If you make a pillar destruct concept though, you might have some game balancing issues (you might need more than 2 quantums).

I don't know, maybe a study on every strategy versus this card might give good results about if it is OP or not.

I gave some suggestions to fix it here in the OVERPOWERED cards poll.

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4031.msg44199#msg44199

Currently has 48 votes for being overpowered and is more than 20% more votes than the next card on the list.

I wish Quicksand is the name of the upped one, because Seism = Earthquake rite?

With the coming of pendulum cards, quicksand is far less powerfull
(execpt against rainbow that rely on quantum pillar)

I would like to see more quanta denial cards to fight against those first.
Like one card that destroy one pillar in each pillar stack.

Wait, why is Earthquake less powerful against pendulums?  Its that much stronger when you can attack two quanta sources at once.

It really depends on what you are facing.  A true duo deck with equal number of towers will gain reliability by switching them all to pendulums.  In that scenario, EQ is more powerful.

In a mono, pendulums can divide the usual 1 stack into 2, making EQ less powerful.

It is quite op, unupped, it costs 3 earth to take out 3 pillars/pendulums. This is already quite OP in the sense that it denies future quantum. But then when it is upped, it only costs 2 to destroy 3......this is so annoying. Im not an earth user but if i did use earth, I would definitely have this card in my deck as it would deny the enemy from an early start.
