Title: Would like some feedback on this [upped] deck
Post by: dismal on November 07, 2013, 01:50:37 am
Below is an interesting deck that I think might be viable. I was trying to see what would work well with adrenaline and I think I might have found the answer. According to the Adrenaline calculator (http://elementscommunity.org/tools/adrenaline/) , the most cost effective cost to damage ratio would be a card with 3 attack. This would hit (4) times at 3 damage a hit, which is 12 every round, per card. I have also noticed that cards with 3 attack and 3 defense (such as horned frogs) are great, but the 3 defense can tend to be a problem. Cards like lightning often destroy something like this, so I have a proposal with an extra something special. The Puffer Fish has 3 attack and 5 defense. It also has the active ability of causing poison damage to each successful attack. So this card I think would definitely have alot of potential with adrenaline/epinephrine. The goal of this deck would be to get out as many Puffer Fish as soon as possible and then use epinephrine on them, thus causing 12 damage per fish, and 1 poison per attack (4 attacks per card with adrenaline). Below is my deck theory that just might work. I'd love to hear back from the community and receieve some feecdback on it. I am open to any criticisms and/or alterations of this deck. Thanks for reading.

You really should test decks before you post them, not just to see how they work but also to see how viable they are against what opponent. Luckily you've at least packed some Heals to avoid this turning into YASR (yet another slow rush). Now as for how poisonous works with Adrenaline... it activates on the first and last turn, so you only get 2 poison per EpiPuffer (this is also true for Scorpions and Devourer/Pest to prevent overpoweredness). As you also mentioned, it still dies to Lightning and you lose two cards, except now you lost more :water because Puffer is more expensive than Frog, but you keep the 2 poison doing damage even if the Puffer dies.

The quanta is unbalanced, and I would suggest using Life mark with Water towers and a few pends. Faster Puffers, stabler quanta.

If you don't have the cards to test a deck you think looks nice, try the Trainer (http://elementsthegame.com/trainer).

Lastly, since it seems you haven't played this deck and don't know how it performs, you should post ideas you have in the Deck Help board. It might be a finished concept, but it's not a finished deck.

Thank you so much, I will take your advice into heavy consideration.

I have no idea how to link to a specific point in a post or if it would even work due to its being in a spoiler, but this is also buried somewhere in Polder's pvp list. I use it fairly often in pvp2 and it works quite nicely.

Aye, that's a fairly strong domin. Permafrost can mitigate a TON of damage, it's just a problem because shields are almost always the first PC target. I prefer CC in most PvP situations unless I really want to pack 4-5 Shields, in which case it's often best to run a stall. But since :water is fairly tight, Ice Lances aren't likely to get to 20 where they kill most creatures. Congeals are pretty good though. I wouldn't pack Octopi because of heavy CC weakness and expensive upkeep. Another option if your Puffers are dying are Forest Spectres. Simply amazing creatures.
