While healing is nice, its all abouty the speed of locking down your opponent.  Once they are locked down, your shriekers just pummel them to death and they can't respond.

wicked deck. i m new to elements. just wanted to ask what if ur oponent is darkness. i m guessing u r gonna use nightmare(N) on pest first as pest will be the easiest to summon. if u wait to summon shriekers(to N them) then u will be a bit slow and ur opponents gonna have some monsters on the field......so this deck has problems against mono darkness.....correct me if i m wrong....Thkz

one more thing......which do think is better......a new time(ghost of the past)+rewind and darkness(nightmare)+pest....against ur deck in terms of shutting down(speed and effectivesness).......

again sweet deck

Giving a :darkness opponent a pest is a TERRIBLE idea.  Your best hope is to wait for a shrieker and hope you have a sufficient lock.  I've beaten mono darkness with this, but it can be difficult.
