This is precisely what we are criticizing, or at least icy and I. I refer to icy's point about using acelink's rush deck if one wanted a counterrush as an anti FG. This deck strategically speaking is neither here nor there--it fails to capitalize fully on the synergy between RoLs and Hope because it attempts to exploit the RoLs for mass quanta generation to play the dragons. There are many better ways to outrush an FG or fractal stuff to win (ie terro's pests) than that.

Please take a step back and look at the spectrum of anti FGs available, because it is in that light that we are criticizing it, not in the aspect of tactical gameplay itself.

I don't even see how the OP can claim that Rainbow is "easy".  Right off, he Steals your Electrocutor (which the OP says you need early to lobo growth creatures -- true enough) and then Lobos your Rays of Light, making them useless (Decay does the same thing).  Sometimes he gets creative and swaps out your Electrocutor for his own Eagle Eye, with the same end result: no Hope for you.

I've never been able to get CLOSE to beating Rainbow with this deck.

I don't even see how the OP can claim that Rainbow is "easy".  Right off, he Steals your Electrocutor (which the OP says you need early to lobo growth creatures -- true enough) and then Lobos your Rays of Light, making them useless (Decay does the same thing).  Sometimes he gets creative and swaps out your Electrocutor for his own Eagle Eye, with the same end result: no Hope for you.

I beat rainbow with this deck last week.  Can't remember the specifics of the matchup though.

Acelink's deck simply does not work very well, nor does pesty's... At least not nearly as effective as using this version of rol/hope w/ a lot of ditches.  I've tried ...  This is clearly the best option I've played / seen so far.

Actually i have around 4 wins to 3 losses against Rainbow. Rainbow just doesn't feel like such a hard god. It has too little creature control to destroy the rays and too little damage to actually kill you before you pull out a hope, though the fact of having your Electrocutor destroyed all the time does make this god harder.

Also once you get out one drag the eagles eye will focus on that.  It's not about win rate % but just how quickly you can award yourself card spins.

There are obviously better decks for farming score and trying to get a higher winrate. 

For the argument of purely electrum / hour I haven't seen/tried a better fg farming deck yet.  I'm definitely open to suggestions though.

Maybe it's just bad luck, but that exact scenario has happened to me every single time I've fought Rainbow, usually within the first 4 turns.  I can't get Hope out that fast, much less a Dragon to distract his EE.

I don't use this exact deck but something pretty close. Rainbow isn't an easy win, but I don't run away from him anymore.

As always it depends on your draw, but here's what I usually try to do.

I usually wait until I can play at least 3 or 4 RoL with a fractal at once. In 2 or 3 turns you can play a Hope even if he's killing your RoL one at a time. By that time you should have enough aether quanta to fractal RoL again and then eventually get a dragon out to distract. It depends on what creatures he plays and how much damage he's doing to you.

Well usually when that i happens i already have enough rol to get the dragons out and i just kill rainbow before he manages to sabotage my hope, though i have lost because of a stolen electrocutor and because of an eagles eye.

really? I'm 3/3 vs. rainbow with a mostly unupped version...idk maybe its just luck and whether or not he gets steals or something...
