You know, I tried a quanta balance like that, but I found that I had to wait too long to get Charger+Overdrive out. It took turns away from my TTW and didn't noticeably add to my win%. YMMV, of course.
It does take some time, but by turn 6 you're usually ready to lay three 7|5|OD on the field, sometimes with a fourth TU waiting in hand, which nets you a kill on turn 9. Sometimes the AI is even generous enough to provide a Dragon that lets you start the combo pretty early, only 4
required, which is often on hand by the third turn.
I also tried going with 35 cards, Sundials off a
mark, and a Tower split, but it didn't turn out very well. Someone else might manage to make it work, though.
Everything I've posted only applies to AI5; I understand that dropping speed for a sharper ramp isn't necessary against 100 HP opponents.
