Yeah I bet this idea has probably already been done... but I just had a bit of a thought...
What if Otyughs were to be a little more patient before they ate?
And so, with this in mind, I created this.

During my time in Trainer, I hadn't lost a single Level 4 match out of 15. Before I tried Arenas on my real account, I just wanted some opinions first!

The strategy is quite simple.
> Play Shard of Patience, Shard of Focus and Otyugh as soon as you can.
> If you get Gravity Force in your initial hand, Bust out the SoF ASAP and destroy a permenant and cast GForce straight after to create Greed the Avaricious, The Ultmate Shield!
(Sorry... Just had to...
> Let the first, if not, both 1st and 2nd Otyughs eat their way through the enemy's hoard. Cast Overdrive on the later ones to make the match go quicker.
> Simply sit back either until you set up a One Turn KO or a Two Turn KO!

So far Ive found this deck's greatest weakness is Freeze. It stops Otyughs from eating the creatures to keep your SoF alive and also from Accretion keeping it alive itself.

I would like to hear anyone's opinion on this before I create it as my real deck. So far, it's been able to maul AI4 and anything below. But any other stats people find will be appreciated!

I also like the unupped otyugh. Earlier in this thread, many advised upgrading all the otyughs as a first priority, but they are truly my last upgrade for this deck (I had 2 upgraded already to start). My reason is the same as yours - especially with the frequency with which I see devourers, SoFs, discords, EQs, etc., the cost savings is often critical. I find that even when I have a quanta crunch that makes me want the unupped otyugh, I can usually get out a SoP as well and immediately get the unupped oty to 2/5.

With that in mind, I would say that for me, the ideal upgrade order would be a sort of mixture of SoF, SoP, and Towers first. Maybe do the SoFs first, alternating with the towers until you get about 5 or 6 (about half), then pick up the SoPs after you're done with the SoFs. Then Nymph's tears, if you're using them. Then gravity pull - weirdly, this one was also a hassle in quanta-crunch situations, so going from 2  to 1 was a significant improvement. At this point, if you haven't already, I would upgrade 2 otyughs. Then upgrade purify (or purifies). Finish the pillar to tower upgrades.

Then, after all that, if you still think you want to, upgrade the otyughs. But I bet you'll switch back to using them unupped after a while...

3 is a big difference from 5, that is why it is the first recommended. If you don't have shard of patience out early, which can happen, you are pretty much dead in the water not being able to do anything at all. Even factoring in shard of patience, that leaves it in lightning kill range the first turn it is out, and generally makes cc worse to face.

I swapped one Gravity Pendulum with a Tower because I don't really need much and when I have enough to summon the Nymphs is accidentally the moment in which they are more useful. One more Gravity Force and one SoPa because those cards are too important to run the risk of not getting them in time (still happens sometimes, though ) and one more Purify, considering how common Poison decks are in the Arena.

It has a great win rate in Platinum and does even better in Gold. It has become my favorite grinding deck.

I am curious to know how it does against FG. Did anyone tested it and gathered some statistics?

Against AI4 this deck is awesome, I use NT on  pendulums and destroy the quanta(AI4 loves  pillars)
