Fun with mutations - Entropy/Aether https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=30813.msg391361#msg391361

Came across this while mucking about with a Fallen Druid deck and playing against Gemini. Each time you Twin Universe a mutation, it gets an increase in stats (similar to hitting it with Chaos Power). Quite the bonus.

You play a spark and hit it with Improved Mutation on the same turn. If you have enough quantum, add a Chaos Power or two, then Twin Universe to your heart's content. To get the full effect, make sure you are applying TU to the latest mutation (the strongest one). You get some amazingly powerful creatures in short order. Obviously, the idea is to rush with damage. A chain of Dimensional Shields is the stopper against this deck, unles the mutation gains momentum.

Interesting observation having played with it a bit, now; lobotomizer removes the mutation characteristic and further TU will not result in an increase in stats.

Today I got skeleton as my Oracle card and used it in a bronze deck(level 15) like this where I changed it around in the trainer and ended up with a nice unupped version where the only cards upped were the 5 mutations. I took out the chaos powers and made it more aether-heavy(added a mindgate in place of a TU/PU so I could get more quanta to use the abilities of the mutants). Overall I love the idea and this is also one of the reasons I got hooked on entropy after seeing some of MatrimKK's latest trials decks.

I may suggest a 6 spark/photons 3 mutation deck, as it can start pretty slow.

BTW,
i liked this deck alot!!!

i don't know why the twin universe improves the mutations but i don't care becuase this deck is too fun... and i think this deck would be better with -2 chaos power and +2 improved mutations because i find myself waiting for mutations more often than not

As you play only aether/entropy if your mutan isn't an entropy/aether creature you'll not be able to use his ability. Maybe That is not needed though ..

Not alot of point unbalancing the mutation-spark ratio. It'd make more sense to go -2 chaos power, +1 mutation, +1 spark.
This sounds like a good option if the goal is to get the combo started sooner. I was really trying to maximize the damage, though. Since the whole point is to TU your way up, starting another spark with mutation is peanuts. What I found in the first few games was that you could hit the mutation with one (maybe two) chaos power before the first TU. As the cards come, though, you could add chaos power to the most recent mutant before TU-ing it.

As you play only aether/entropy if your mutan isn't an entropy/aether creature you'll not be able to use his ability. Maybe That is not needed though ..
Yeah, it seems like a shame to waste some of the active skills that come along, but the goal is massive physical power. It's that much more fun when they the mutant is entropy or aether, though!
