This is usually done with Ghosts since they offer a better cost:attack ratio. However, Mitosis invites a weakness to CC, which makes Ghost and Devonian strictly rush options. Therefore you see Mitosis Emerald Dragons just as often, since their 6 HP lets them survive the widely used Lightning. Gets even better upped with 9 HP on Jade Dragon.
Ghostosis doesn't need more than 4 Mitos and SoR's of course, and it almost always packs some RT's or Eternities for CC. Sometimes Golden Nymphs for potentially huge card advantage.

Pretty sure there was a rainbow FG grinder based around this concept called intosis, back when all the shards were elementless.

Instosis worked long after SoR's became Time cards. http://elementscommunity.org/forum/archived-decks/instosis-%28fg%29%28otk%29%28arena%29/ After changes to SoR, Instosis had to change and lost consistency against FG's. http://elementscommunity.org/forum/rainbow-decks/blarp%27s-instosis-%281-32%29-%28fg%29%28otk%29%28arena%29/
Ghostosis and DragonSoR work on lower AI and in PvP, and Instosis works well in PvP with changes that accommodate for 100 HP. Gives it a lot more room.
