Start with your basic Mark of
starter-deck. Trade out the
cards for 4 scarabs and a
Pend. Trade out the Skeletons, Plague, Poisons, and the Flesh Spider for more time pends, and the Bone Dragon for another Bone Wall. Switch the Mark to
. You should have 52
left.

Beat level 0, complete the 3 starter quests for a bit more
, and trade your Dagger for a Hammer for a teensy bit more damage. Once you get your rare, pick Eternity.
Basic strategy is to drop the Viruses and Scarabs ASAP, followed by a Boneyard, Bone Wall and Vultures. Try
not to drop a Vulture until you are ready to either infect a card with Virus or devour one with Scarab. Use the Virus/Scarab combo to CC and feed your Walls and Vultures, cannibalizing your Skeletons when the enemy's side is either empty or to high HP to devour. In a pinch, you can even choose to devour a Virus to get your other cards a boost. I prefer this over the basic Otyugh combo because the Scarabs grow each other in ways Otyughs do not, and because the Eternity rare will make your Skeletons more than just Scarab-food. Obviously, if you can get a Pharaoh to drop, consider using it instead of a Scarab, for better growth.
It's not unbeatable (a
/
combo will make you very sad, as will a hyper-rush deck) and will rarely EM, but it's consistent and readily available to a new or restarting player.
