My Fractal Deck

Basically play it out fractaling the scarabs to play more

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q3 7q5 7q5 7q5 7qa 7qa 7qa 7qa 7qa 808 808 808 808 808 808 80i 80i 80i 8pl

Can work unupped but better upped

a better variation is +4 phase shield, +2 aether pillar, -turtle shield

before you comment with needs more gravity, it doesnt. its definetly not pillar heavy, and decking out is not a problem. the only real problem it has is no permanent control

I'm not familiar with scarab decks, but is only a gravity mark enough to power devour?

I also think you need to run more than one Turtle Shield, your odds of drawing that one early enough are slim. Perhaps you can run an anubis or two, too? 8 damage is nice, and immortalizing scarabs would be great for creature control.

Also, the obvious weakness is that you have no healing so Octane/Fire Bolt will destroy you. :( Add SoG's?

You might also be pillar heavy on aether, but I'm not sure since I've only played a fractal deck with an aether mark.

Other than that, it sounds great :)

no any less aether pillars gets destroyed and you only need as much gravity as creatures he can play so it work fine and yes octane is difficult

this deck probably doesn't belong in the FG section, since I don't really see the math behind
30 cards with 3 hourglasses with Scarabs only dealing the damage. no way you can work that out
and get 200 hp, if you account for probable loss of creatures, shields and healing.

1. I don't think you need 3 HG's in a 30 cards deck.
2. You need more Gravity quanta to stop the early FG rush.
3. You need healing or weapons will kill you before you can win.

All in all, the concept is nice, but I REALLY think a 35-40 cards deck with some healing and Gravity towers would be better. Anubis is not needed since your Scarabs have massive HP and you can have TONS of them. An eternity or 2 would also be nice.

did anyone actually try it? it may work better than you think. I also think a version w/ 3phase shield and 3 more  :aether pillars -the turtle shield works well

Not really, you get 23 * 3 = 69 dpt easily, it can work if it's optimized.

Interesting concept, however, i think you should have +3 gravity pillars and +1 turtle shield, aswell as +1 eternity.

That deck went 6-19 against FGs in trainer.  I found myself just a hair short on all three quantums only ocassionally, probably not enough to add towers.  I think it's pretty well balanced as shown.  I never once was close to decking out, so if I had to tweak I'd consider replacing the eternity with a time tower or another SoG.  It was only useful against creatures that had grown massive; more creature control isn't really necessary in a scarab deck.

Side note: Discord is OP.

Also, I would've won 1-2 more games if it weren't for the PU scarab bug (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4113.0.html).
