It's it SO much better upgraded as this will NOT kill false gods but

The problem is that a regular upgraded RoL/Hope deck needs Hope+RoL+Fractal. This unupped version needs Hope+RoL+Luci+Fractal and that 1 extra card in the combo slows down the deck considerably and makes it MUCH more prone to not being able to make the combo, that this deck is reliant on, happen. For those reasons I don't think an unupped version is viable at all.

Not to mention that Luciferin means that you either have to hope to draw it soon after a fractal or you can only get 7 photons from the fractal.
