Stupid Yet Winning Chrysaora Deck [AI3] [Fun] https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=43700.msg1002851#msg1002851

This deck looks pretty stupid, and the stupidest thing about it is that it works. I've been winning consistently with this against AI3, and it's so fun.

Deck import code : [Select]
52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52p 52p 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5ia 5ia 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 8pk

Strategy: lay your Poisons early, continue to lay them until your Chrysaoras get targeted, then stall with Freeze / Purify / Plague to win. After a while, the poison damage starts to add up rather rapidly, and most AI3 decks have not enough healing to compensate (and also, none of them have Purify).

Take a look at your water cards. Notice that only two of them cost more than 1 :water. This means that you should switch your mark to :water, and replace those :water Pendulums with :death Pillars so that you can get out poison faster. You may or may not want to consider Arsenics as well.

Actually, it doesn't look stupid at all. And congratulations on finding a solid poison deck by yourself. It's been done before of course, but don't let that bother you as 1) you discovered it by yourself and 2) you can't possibly know everything that's been done before you post a deck.

thispersonisagenius gives some good advice, but it really depends on what you're wanting. Your deck allows you to play more water cards, especially on turn 2 when you want to lay out all your chrysaora. His way lets you pile on the poison more and let's you add more expensive death cards like Bone Wall, but at the cost of only playing 1 water card per turn.

Another card you can consider using is Nova to get out turn 1 Chrysaoras. Something like below could work:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 52q 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 8pp

I threw this together quickly but it gives you the idea. If you could work out the quanta balance for 6 Novas plus Death & Water, you could even pack some other kinds of CC to diversify the kind of control you use (Reverse Time, Basilisk Blood, Lightning, etc.).

The strategy is normally called Speed Poison, little extra info if you wanna search for this decks without copying the code  :P

A very interesting variation I've seen is taking extra stall with Novas and Sundials, 1 vamp Stiletto and a pair of fog shields.
