And I agree with what's been said: up flying weapons, remove fog shield and maybe add thorn carapace? Carapace can kill anything that attacks (given enough time), so your healing isn't overwhelmed by brute force.

In trainer Empathic Bonds did nothing at all on flying staves.

I like Fog Shields in this deck, actually. While you don't need more defense, it is capable of preventing a 1-turn kill once your opponent has built up. That brings me to a different point: offense. I'd add some Dragons for more damage, because those staves are weak. SoG's are superfluous.

Yes, several shields bring this deck to a complete stop. All they need to do is reduce 2+ and you can't win, except by deckout if they have 30 cards and have the 2nd turn.

Ok, thanks for the advice.

I'm thinking of +2 emerald dragons for some extra damage in case of Permafrost Shield. Empathic Bonds are useless, I don't need anymore healing to be honest.

I'll work on upping the flying weapons, as I can see, a lot of decks use them so maybe I should try it. I don't really want to spend an hour in a training testing something with no benefit though...

Also, I realizing that once I get 2 or 3 staves out, it's definitely enough, and the last 3 are wasted. Maybe take out 2 staves and add some forest scorpions?

Yeah, that works as well. Having 4 gives you a nice chance to get one relatively early.

D'you guys think I could submit the Version 2 as an AI3 farmer? I know 4 staves is hard to get, but maybe swapping the fourth for another scorpion would be okay for AI3, right?

I mean the stats on this are like super good, 40 games so far and only 3 losses and at least half of those wins were EMs.

The three lost were vs. some good CC and reverse time decks. But even in those, the AI wasn't fast enough and when all was said and done, my dragon and 6 or so poison counters was enough to finish him.

Yep. Flying Staves with other damage sources pwns Elders hard. It's just that it's not very fast, and thus not well suited for Elder-farming. Nonetheless, it's possibly the best unupgraded EM deck there is. Dunno if that's worth going for, but in any case it's an alright deck to farm with.
