If he gets the devs out fast enough, he doesnt need much shields.  A fractal on turn 4-5 means that your opponent, if not playing a rush deck, has somewhere between 2-4 creatures out, mostly low costing low to mid attacking creatures.  Use a drain life or two on the creatures and play a nightfall.  Theres your game right there.
