Unlike my other Dune Scorpion decks, this one has:
  • Creature Control
  • Permanent Control
  • Life Gain
I usually only have 4 Dune Scorpions in my decks.  This one has 6.  In this deck, the scorpions are targets for both Chaos Power and Butterfly Effect.  The great thing about Neurotoxin is that you only have to stick someone once.  This also means you can use the scorpions for other things.  You can get a quick Chaos Power on a scorpion, stick them once, and as long as the scorpion's power is 2 or less, you can slap a Butterfly Effect on the same scorpion and begin locking them down.

I also kept the deck as bare bones as possible.  Unlike other Neurotoxin decks, there's no need for weapons, shields, or other permanents.  Antimatter and Butterfly Effects keep everything nice and neat (and less targets for your opponent to take advantage of).

The game is over before it even begins:

>Best Starting Hand
  • 2 Time Pendulum
  • 1 Dune Scorpion
  • 1 Chaos Power
  • 1 Rewind
*This sets up Turn 2 Neurotoxin.

I have also started to favor this combination over the typical :time / :gravity Scorpion deck, because there really isn't anything that Gravity can bring to the table that has long-lasting effects on a game other than Otyugh (and Scarabs/Pharaohs), and even then you have no permanent control. Entropy has complete board control within one element. It really brings the total package that Dune Scorpion decks need.

I want to test this deck. Chaos Power and Pandenomium both need to be upped, which can be a problem if I want to use it in PvP...

Really love this deck!
I tried with couple of changes (don't have full sets of some cards). 3+3 T.Tower/Pendulum, 4 CP and 5 DS. Then I added 2 Eternity, cos it can lock the game alone. Works pretty good in Top50 grinding, only problem is Life rush...

I think a full set of Time Pendulums are also a must for the deck.  If you only draw one in your opening hand you'll get 2 Time right away and have to wait 2 turns before you can cast the scorp.  If it's not upped, you'll have to wait 4 turns if you don't draw another one.

Also, I've been playing T50 a lot and I keep on losing to Life Rush.

No Discords?  I was always a fan of 32 card decks, so maybe I'll just fit in a Discord here or there. :P

And Deathstalkers. :D

I played against a deck like this on pvp2- drove me insane. He used all three types of scorpions though, which is obviously less efficient for exact quanta production. This one looks much better- I'm looking forward to building it and pissing people off in PVPs. NIce one =]

I just got a Purple Nymph from the Oracle this morning.  Here's the version I'm using now and it helped a lot with the Life Rush match up:

(I would add a second Purple Nymph if I could.)

I've been toying with  :entropy/ :time scorp deck myself so I built this to compare.

It is too slow to reliably get out that first scorpion.  Given that people play the most cards in the first few turns, this deck really needs to be tuned to the point where it is able to play a second turn scorp a good % of the time.   I think it needs to be mark of time for this to happen but this will be a real problem because the deck is very  :entropy demanding.

I found pandemonium to not synch well with anti-matter.   TU on an anti-mattered creature is like a kick to the groin.   Killing them is just as bad.   I'm leaning towards replacing the pandemonion (ack, we need to find an abbreviation for that) with straight up anti-matters.

Don't get me wrong, I like the deck.   I really want to get FG version working since these neurotoxin turns their #1 advantage (card draw) against them.

I need to add, it is just totally awesome watching rainbow FG (top50)  literally melt themselves against this deck.

Love this deck :) I swear to God; half of Kongregate uses fractal devourers and this deck just eats it alive. I run it -2 pandemonium, +2 time pendulums.

Yeah, I've been playing around with different versions.  Noticed a couple things:
  • It usually falls to most rush decks, unless you get a really good opening hand.
  • It destroys Mind Gate decks (which are the new hotness) for two reasons: (1) The extra draws bump the poison and (2) a lot of cards in the deck require another card to combo with.
Lately I've been playing:

-2 Pandemonium
-2 Aether Tower
+2 Rewind
+2 Time Pendulum

With this version, a good opening hand would include 2 Time Pendulums, 1 Dune Scorpion, 1 Chaos Power, and 1 Rewind.  This will give you exactly 4 :time and 1 :entropy the next turn to cast it all, perfectly setting up the rest of the game.

Edit:  Also, remember that you can get by most shields by casting Antimatter on your own scorpion.  With negative power, they'll sneak past the shield and deliver the poison.
