I'd say that if you had a few (not sure about the number) towers thrown into this mix (to help further support Scarabs' Devouring ability and the Momentum applications), you'd have a nice deck that has unbelievably good creature control (rewind, devour, etc.) alongside discard mechanics that could be downright devastating. Perhaps you could toss up a Turtle Shield in just for some defensive capabilities (seeing that you have no healing and if they creature rush you, you're screwed >.>).
Very lovely idea though. I was planning to make a deck like this when the card came out, but it looks like the best deck-builders are the ones who always go first in creating things like this.
Let me start by saying, Im no great deck builder. I have my lucky moments, and the trick to building good decks is just to eyeball it and see if it works for you. Also, by the time I get gravity towers, My pharohs and momentumed dune scorpians could be out already, or they could fill my hand and surpress my drawing. Seeing that most of these cards are cheap (3 for dunes and 1 for unstoppables) and the fact that I have so many towers I usually end up with around 9
quanta and over 50
at the end of the match. ANd end up with about 10-11
and 1
on turn 2 (The turn after I play my pillars). This deck just flows fine for me, and since the majority of
will be for devouring, and unstoppable only costs 1
, its just a matter of good choices. You can choose to devour the Chrysaora whos poisoning you, or play an unstoppable dune scorpian to help discard cards. Believe it or not, most situations its the scarabs doing the work. Scarabs > Dune Scorpians in this deck. Once you get 7-10 scarabs, your fine. You can eat anything. The only thing is you need to get these before otyughs make your scarabs into candy
Also, you'll need to out-damage the opponent before he gets shields up and denies you damage. This is more or less a time rush deck with heavy card control.
